There's not been so much as a puff of smoke from LSU that wasn't self-reported for the past decade.

Pretty solid hard and fast rule that works in the courtroom of public opinion. "We want Louisiana kids to stay in Louisiana" and so on and so forth. Of course, it's an easy position to take when you are the only P5 school in the state and aren't threatened by any other in-state schools, but it's savvy.
