Do y'all notice that everyone has reported, including Sankey and Foley, that Florida offered and agreed to November 19th and LSU declined?
Alleva is literally the ONLY PERSON saying it didn't happen.
He's trying to save face.

ESPN is lying to shift blame to LSU?
No, they are not purposely lying (at least I don't think so). They're just passing on what one person reported (with no evidence of a quote).
"That's a flat out lie," Alleva said of the tweet "It's a perfect example of terrible journalism. He didn't call me, he didn't call Michael Bonnette. He tweeted out that garbage."

so you've resorted to making things up now? Sankey nor Foley have said the 19th was offered

That's all I want too.
It should have been played. On Saturday. In Gainesville. The SEC screwed up.

I'm not being unsympathetic to natural disaster issues, but UF was not the only school affected and the show must go on as the other schools showed that played their games or rescheduled already. Everything does not stop. Things may be changed, but a storm doesn't stop everything.
Other schools weren't as close to the affected area as UF was. In fact, the one school that was closer, UCF, also rescheduled the game for a different weekend. So this idea that we could have played it on Saturday or Sunday is bunk. In hindsight, it may have been possible because the storm wobbled to the east, but on Thursday, when the call was made, it would not have been possible to play on Saturday or Sunday.

You guys can be extremely distasteful and ignore that a freaking hurricane went through the area, but it does not mean your opinion is grounded in reality.
And frick your hurricane. When LSU's season has been altered by a hurricane, they found a way to play the games. They didn't pussy out like Foley and Florida did.

The SEC dropped the ball on this decision. A game could have and should have been played yesterday, as scheduled. The SEC screwed up.
Everyone but UF's fault

Alleva lied to save face.
Sankey, Foley, and multiple media outlets reported that November 19th was declined by Alleva. Alleva has no plans to make this game up, because he doesn't want to lose a home game and because he's scared to play three road games in a row.
Gonna need links to those "multiple" media outlets, fagot.
You wanna talk about player safety, why the frick should LSU agree to play three road SEC games in 12 days, giving up a home game with no compensation in the process?
frick you.

LOL - that is literally what LSU fans, media, and your AD has been doing all week. Just say a bunch of made up shite, and hope people remember that narrative.
Remember how you guys said it was too dangerous to play in Gainesville earlier in the week?
Posted on 10/9/16 at 12:35 pm to atlgator
Yeah, sure. November 19th was discussed and turned down just because Brett McMurphy said it was.

bullshite, Raleigh, NC and Columbia, SC were hit much harder than Gainesville. NC State and Notre Dame played through a monsoon. UGA and SC play today. You do realize the state of Florida was not the only state affected by the Hurricane right?

the only thing that will make Florida fans happy is for LSU to take all the disadvantage and financial hardship because Florida wouldn't host a game in their stadium or make a contingency plan outside an 11 AM kickoff as scheduled.

frick what makes them happy.
At this point, I'd rather just see the game not played and Tennessee lose the east because of it.
If that happens, I guarantee this will be addressed in the spring.

it needs to be addressed regardless. either that or someone needs to educate the new commissioner that he has the power to force a decision

Not enough.
They need to remove the win percentage part of division standings, as well as negate cross-conference games from having any role in determining division standings.
