2005 - idiot for losing to Tennessee
2006 - idiot for losing two games. Should have won the NC easily
2007 - idiot lost two games but the team was able to out-talent miles' coaching
2008 - trainwreck
2009 - idiotly coached team that won off of pure luck and Chavis
2010 - another Chavis lead team that won on luck and out-talented Miles' coaching
2011 - lightning in a bottle, talent wise, that Miles managed to single-handedly cornhole the second half of the season when he brought Jefferson back
2012 - trainwreck of a season despite having most of the talent from 2012. He went full retard.
2013 - Chavis no longer able to carry team. Team wins on offensive NFL talent alone despite miles
2014 - trainwreck of a season. Miles went full retard
2015 - trainwreck of a season. Miles went full retard
2016 - trainwreck of a season. Miles went full retard

In conclusion: he was always a below average coach

Miles won with the talent Saban assembled at LSU. Not much coaching was required imo.
Since Sabans departure, Miles was able to sustain a decent record...BUT,,,,with each passing season LSU has been going downward due to Sabans players leaving/graduating and the arrival of new players recruited by Miles and company.

If Les won 2007 with Saban's players, why didn't Saban win a championship with Saban's players during his last year in Baton Roughe? He didn't even win the bowl game.

because of the NFL exodus after the NC at LSU. Everyone expected that to a degree then. Saban's original plan was to shoot for a NC in 2004 but he actually won early (his own words) which threw off his recruiting/process schedule.

He was locked and loaded talent wise after 2004 and it showed.

Why does it matter who recruited them, Saban left, Miles coached them.

This is when he lost all respect from a lot of LSU fans until this day when he brought Jefferson in during the KY game in BR after being suspended for about 8 games and benched Lee the rest of the season to include the national championship game where Miles did not let Lee play one single down his last game as a Sr. For this Miles is worthless to many and should be gone since the ending of that game cause he's gone downhill ever since that 2011 year for sure.

Champagn, I've heard a very similar description of Trump supporters by you on the Poli Board. Guess you really are a full blown liberal as you are always looking down your nose at us common folks.

They won in 07 despite Miles and his dumb coaching moves. Add in they lost twice to unranked teams and needed historic weeks for upsets to make the NC that to their credit they won by playing pretty much mistake free football.

What a difference three (or so) years make. There was a time this sort of thread would have been overwhelmed with a tsunami of righteous rage, semi-righteous downvoting, and downright scurrilous use of statistics.

The Negatigers have won. Now it's only a matter of hunting down the last remaining Positigers and either offering them clemency if they choose to come over to the dark side or putting them mercifully down if they can't bring themselves to do it. And thus passes the Third Age of LSU football.

You give us your opinion since you are a well documented Miles hater. Let's hear from a Saban abandonment syndrome survivor.

My opinion is that LSU fans are morons who are too stupid to realize that Miles has been stealing 4.5 million of your money every year for many years by pretending to be a football coach.

You guys a slow learners. Took you all a long time to see the truth about Coach Miles.

In this thread, I was only trying to figure out whether there was a time when Miles WASN'T stealing from you. I'm leaning towards the conclusion that the answer is "no".

Not so fast. There's still a chance the Miles is coaching LSU for the 2017 season.

does Coach Les Miles have the football coaching acumen to win a Natty with his own players and his own system?

Can you make up your mind on asking a single question or not?

When did you finally realize that Miles was stealing 4.5 million a year from LSU by pretending to be a football coach?

I love how you guys really BELIEVE an idiot coach can win at a 78% clip over a span of 11 years in the SEC West. Not even once having a season as bad as 7 wins. He is stubborn to a fault of doing things his way, but mostly his way has worked.

Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are not coming to LSU. Tom Hermann and Jimbo are almost certainly not either. Exactly who is it that you BELIEVE is going to come here and even do as well as Les Miles has? I will laugh and laugh and laugh if "the idiot" coach wins out and secures his place for years to come =)

Don't hide this viewpoint in this old thread, man. Head over to the Tiger Rant and start a new thread with this post. The folks over there could learn a thing or two from you, it seems. But they can't learn from you there if you are hiding over here.

For some reason my work internet filter blocks Tiger rant but not SEC rant =(

But seriously, Miles is not a perfect coach and has some obvious flaws. But he wins, he wins a lot, and consistently. Fans are mad because Les isn't Nick Saban. Doesn't win as much as Nick Saban. Well nobody else is or does either. And he isn't coming back. So I wish people would be happy with 10 wins a season on average, and occasionally winning/playing for a Natty and usually being in the conversation for one. Cause again Nick isn't coming back.

I remember the 90's. All these angry people are either too young or have forgotten them apparently. I remember being SO HAPPY that LSU got a bid to the INDEPENDANCE BOWL. That is how bad it was. I never want to go there again. Be happy with Miles guys and ladies. You may horribly regret him leaving if he does.
