........fair enough. If Bama doesn't get back to #2 then so be it. But there should be a chance for them to, and there is. It sounds like that hurts your feelings.

It just depends, imo, on how the season shakes out. UF played FSU in a rematch for all the marbles in '96.

Deserves, does not deserve, all a moot point. All that matters is who is #1 and #2.
None of it matters though. Bama barely has a snowball's chance in hell.
Stanford and OSU will lose, but OU will definitely jump bama and it is 50/50 whether Oregon will.
Bama may wind up #4 even with OSU and Stanford losses (unless both AU and PSU win out, but good chance OU still would jump them anyway).

NO, Bama players and fans are A okay with not winning they division or the SEC. But they are A okay with working their way back to #2 with the help of other teams, and THEN getting handed their ticket to the NCG.........hell yeah.

It really is one of those things that you can say shouldn't happen but still hope it does if your team happens to be in that position. It's ok to be a little bit of a homer, despite the negative connotation other homers give it.

I only say deserves because LSU fans freak out when you just come out and say that there is a chance Alabama could do it. So I say DESERVES a CHANCE. I agree that it's a long shot but Jesus Christ the season isn't over, teams go up and down every single week.
