3 straight regular season wins vs Alabama would be a fantastic feat, no doubt. But if I was an LSU fan there would still be that sour taste in my mouth from Jan 9.
if i was an ole miss fan, there would still be a sour taste in my mouth after being the laughing stock of the sec. Oh and our 3rd string qb took a knee with FIVE minutes left in the game.
I expect us to beat bama this year, again. It wont be easy, but i fully expect this team to be hungry like bama was in 09 after two strait losses to end what was going to be an amazing 08 season.

Bama beat Fla in 99, then had to beat them again to win the SEC. You didn't hear either team whining then. Just stop with the belly-aching. It's unbecoming of a woman
That is because UF is in a different division. UF is in the EAST. There I made it to where you can make sense of it. Or do you need for the rest of the SEC to spell it out for you. And no you can't have a tutor to help. Stop with the attempted comparisons it's unbecoming side walk fans

quote:#1 LSU beat #2 Alabama Nov. 6. Bama lost to the #1 team which made Bama drop in the polls, but Bama didn't lose another game. Whereas, Ok St. ranked #2 two weeks later lost to an unranked team. They dropped in the polls and Alabama rose.
You dipshits never admit to losing much less getting beat(a l a Nov. 6th), only beating yourselves, etc.

BCS standings
Compilation of standings
Since the 2000 regular season, the BCS standings have been compiled by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
The standings include three components: USA Today Coaches Poll, Harris Interactive College Football Poll and an average of six computer rankings. Each component will count one-third toward a team's overall BCS score.
All three components shall be added together and averaged for a team's ranking in the BCS standings. The team with the highest average shall rank first in the BCS standings. The BCS standings will be used for:
1. Selecting the teams that will participate in the national championship game.
2. Determining any other automatic qualifiers; and,
3. Establishing the pool of eligible teams for at-large selection.
Polls
In the Harris Interactive College Football Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll, a team will be evaluated on the number of voting points it receives in each poll. A team's Harris Interactive score will be its points in the poll divided by its total possible voting points (if 114 voters, then 2850=114 x 25). The same formula will apply to the USA Today Coaches poll and its total voting points (if 63 voters, then 1575=63 x 25).
The number of actual voters, which can vary, is figured into the computation on a weekly basis in stating each team's percentage of a possible perfect score.
Computer rankings
Six computer rankings will be used: Jeff Sagarin, Anderson & Hester, Richard Billingsley, Colley Matrix, Kenneth Massey and Dr. Peter Wolfe. Points will be assigned in inverse order of ranking from 1-25. A team's highest and lowest computer ranking will be discarded in calculating its computer rankings average. The four remaining computer scores will be averaged and the total will be calculated as a percentage of 100.

If you play that BCS game the following week, LSU would win that 3rd game...no doubt in mind. Program has too much pride and talent to lay down a second week... mentally, no way Alabama plays at that high of level the next week
No doubt? All I hear are excuses and crying. It's not fair... and we weren't prepared.. wah wah wah.
Les Miles and your team had enough time and should have had enough motivation to show up for that game. Arguably the biggest game in your history. Personally, I think they did show up but simply had no answers to what what was taken place on the field.
Meh, keep crying and making your excuses. It's entertaining.

The BCS is ...
The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) is a five-game showcase of college football. It is designed to ensure that the two top-rated teams in the country meet in the national championship game, and to create exciting and competitive matchups among eight other highly regarded teams in four other bowl games.

BCS FINAL STANDINGS - DEC. 4, 2011
Team BCS Average
1 LSU 1.0000
2 Alabama .9419
3 Oklahoma State .9333
4 Stanford .8476
5 Oregon .7901
The top two teams, #1 LSU and #2 Alabama, did meet as decided by the polls and did play for the national championship. One team, Alabama, won the national championship and the other team, LSU, got all butthurt and won't quit complaining.

I believe the LSU coaching staff was thoroughly outcoached in the NC game by Saban and his guys. Now against Bama next year? I think that we stand a great chance. The game is at home and these guys will be looking for payback for being embarrassed in the NC.

Actually, what this year’s serving of BCS glop tells us is that it’s good to have an aura. Nick Saban has an aura, albeit one of fire and brimstone, which means Alabama has an aura, which means Alabama got a nod it didn’t deserve.

Saban is spending this “kind of limbo week” recruiting and making national TV appearances, and perhaps doing a bit of lobbying. The Tigers, meanwhile, are gearing up to play No. 12 Georgia in the Southeastern Conference championship game.

Bama fans, please disregard the OP and the LSU "fans" that support his thread. Many of these posters are probably kids and never entered the grounds of LSU to get a higher education degree. If these asses actually went to college, they probably attended a directional school and claim to be LSU "fans." These kids need to realize that Bama was the better team that day and LSU was the better team when LSU beat Bama at their home stadium. These idiots are still complaining about the LSU baseball team, but the better team beat the crap out of LSU and they are going to Omaha.

I just hate that after we beat down lsu again, we will
have to start paying property taxes to east baton rouge parish again, since we about to start owning
that arse again.

Where's the rule that says this is not permitted. All coaches lobby for their teams.
Even Mike Gundy lobbied.

Your "proof of lobbying" is an article (from nola.com!) that says that Saban said that the poll voters should "pick the best two teams."
SHAMELESS HE IS! Holy crap, have you ever heard something so self-serving and controversial? HINT: PROBABLY NOT.
You're stupid. Quit being so darn stupid, stupid.

If that's lobbying for Alabama, then Les Miles is also guilty of lobbying for Alabama. Thanks, Les!!

Les took the right attitude. He was confident in his team and why not. Alabama was the better team that day though, it sucks but all you can do is tip your cap and use it as motivation for next time.

IMO Nick was definitely lobbying but I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I would want Les to lobby for us if we were in that situation. Would anyone expect him to be like "No thanks, we'd rather play in the Sugar Bowl."?
