I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about but just in case here it is
LSU first down chant
LSU first down chant

quote:
when the Tigers are on offense and earn a first down, the fans perform the "First Down Cheer". It includes the "Hold that Tiger" musical phrase from "Tiger Rag" played by the LSU band and the fans shout "Geaux Tigers" at the end of each phrase.
I will add after the forth phrase the students say, kick their arse and the other fans say L-S-U

That’s the noise the old timey corn dog dryers made to signal optimal tenderness.

The melody part is based on “Tiger Rag.” The lyrics in the song for that series of notes are, “Hold that Tiger. Hold that Tiger.” I’m not sure when the first down cheer originated, but the song was written in New Orleans in 1917 and the LSU band has played it since 1926.

SO many BROKEN GUMPS, so little time.

I started it on a whim back when I attended LSU in the early 90s. We made 1st downs at will with those high powered offenses in the Curley Hallman era, so I said to myself, “What the hell, let me take out my kazoo and get this student section rockin...”

I thought it was "get the gat"... On second thought, my bad. "get the gat" is what they play after they lose. Inferring that the winning team better leave or risk getting assassinated in the parking lot..

Yeah it so "cool".. A homemade song about getting a gun, drug dealing, and shooting people. Then, homeboys, put on a live performance at the white house...

Its amazing what prolong success does to a fanbase's ability to talk shite effectively and cleverly.
Gumps are fricking laughably awful at it. Worst in the SEC (well its between Bama and A&M). Vandy fans are better than Bama fans at talking shite. That one person that exists out there that roots for Vandy is at least usually intelligent and funnily self-deprecating.
Years of "haha we won you lost" and now that they actually need to be able to get in the mud with everyone they frickING SUCK at it.
its painful to watch.

Like this doesnt even make sense lol. A song that our players started fricking around with during this season is the basis. That part i understand. But help me with the rest. Its clear you dont like black people. That much i gather. But you also have no concept of time. Is that the joke? That you dont know how calendars work? Must be highbrow Bama humor i dont get. Sorry about the "homeboys" though, Cleetus.

Not as painful as watching that abortion of the "get the gat" performance at the white house. I was genuinely embarrassed for your guys..
