idk looks like he twisted the ankle on the first down play. I didn't notice till watching the replay. I knew he was hobbling after the 2nd down trying to get out of bounds.

Just rewatched the 2nd play on the link he caught the ball at the 26 and could have at least got to the 33-35 if he ran north south. May be just a freshman mistake

Not bad for a game manager.

here we go, for everyone's arguing convenience, and instead of working, here are how everyone was lined up on each of the plays of the drive.

play 1

play 1 catch

play 2

play 2 catch

play 3

play 3 catch

play 4

no catch, db tripped wr in endzone and then walked off nodding his head like he made a play.

play 5

[url=LINK hosting sites[/url]
we all know what happened there

enjoy. sorry about the weird links

Bottom line......LSU corners were playing 10+ yards off the LOS to prevent the big play and McCarron took the 10-15 yard completions as he should have.

It was insanely soft coverage. I was in the stadium and I saw it.

You don't from ZERO passing yards in a half to 70 something in 43 seconds without the defense helping.

Don't be a homer

You can clearly see the DBs playing way back. And if you watch the play unfold, you can see them backup even more.

Thank you for proving our point

Soft coverage on play 3 only, with Norwood getting the sideline catch.

Play 1 was in between 2 DB's, each about 1.5 yards away from Norwood.

Play 2, Norwood had to jump up to grab the pass with a defender right in front of him.

Maybe there was soft coverage everywhere else, but those 2 plays were defended close.

LSU boys had just as much jersey in their hands on offense (if not more) than Alabama's did.

Bama fans are pissed off that everyone is calling it "prevent" defense.

We get it. It makes the victory seem "invalid" to Bama fans.

Yeah, well, LSU was playing some soft coverage most of that drive.

South Carolina and A&M scored a TD in less than one minute against LSU's soft coverage too.

A pattern has been realized.

My advice... Take the victory and savor it, and move on. Not sure why you're looking for approval/justification.
