Not for long, if they don't give Fluker some help....

A wash at least. You have potentially three first round OL on that unit. A former Outland Trophy winner and potential Outland Trophy winner.

How?

If Bama's advantage at WR is only "slight", then LSU's advantage at RB is DEFINITELY only "slight" (if they even have one....only one guy can carry the rock at a time).
LBers are not "even", either. Not close.
This is the weakest group of WRs I've seen at LSU in a decade, IMO.

Special Teams?
Intangibles?
This is another one of those games- I believe- where we will be reminded it's not being played on paper.
Should be a classic.

What about coaching? Is anyone going to include that in the scenario?

the real matchup to watch will be the bama front 7-8 against the LSU blockers. The pressure is on an inexperienced group of LSU players up front, including Mett. They are gonna have a challenge to identify the defense and get everyone blocked.

QB: UA
RB: LSU
WR: UA
OL: UA
DL: LSU
LB: UA
DB: EVEN
I'm not as in love with Mccarron as everyone else. The times I've watched him this year he's hit wide open receivers because teams must load the box to stop the run. He still has a tendency to dump the ball to the RBs and WRs within 5 yards of the LOS as his primary read. A lot of the deep throws I've seen him throw are fool's gold. They'll be picked versus LSU. Having said that, he's proven to be better than Mett.
RBs are a clear advantage to LSU. Yeldon is their best back, but he's not the starter. WRs are a clear advantage to UA. That's not necessarily a huge compliment to Bama. This is the worst group of WRs in a long time at LSU.
OL to Bama by default. With Faulk, it's even IMO.
DL is LSU's clearest advantage at a key position. 3-4 1st rounders on this line. They can stop Bama's run without loading the box, which will make Mccarron hit covered receivers.
LBs are advantage Bama, but it's closer than many think. More than slight but not a huge advantage.
DBs are a wash IMO

Why are so many LSU fan incapable of saying A.J. McCarron is a great QB. He has a 18-0 TD-INT ratio for Christ's sake. He leads the nation in passing efficiency. And he's doing it in the SEC.

He's doing it versus bottom tier SEC competition thus far. Two of his passes during the UT game to Cooper were severely under thrown. One was a popup that would have been picked, but UT had to put 8 in the box to slow down the run.
BTW, calm down

Bama's receivers are much better, as well as their linebackers.
