They won't. He's an every down back.

Has the fastest explosion off the line I've seen since Derrick Thomas.

This D will be much better than 14. Statistically they will not give up as many points or total yards as that D, and I expect them to be much better than that D on 3rd down.

That's probably the same thing you said heading into '14 when they were compared to '12.

Only time will tell.

I don't remember anyone comparing the 14 D to the 12.

You just made that shite up.

These chumps thinking Bama won't have the best defense this year. You have to go back to 2008 to find the last time Bama didn't lead the SEC in scoring Defense when they were 2. Plus only once in that time frame did Bama not lead the SEC in total defense. The consistency is unreal. This 2016 defense will be a beast again. Will be top 2 secondary in the Saban years. Top 3 overall in the Saban era . Probably has the most/highest number of 5*s throughout the entire defensive roster.

L5u will be good, no doubt but like usual they'll play 2nd string to Bama. This ain't the yeaux

Yeah LSU will have a good D. Probably second to Bama's, but that's like having the second best hand in poker.

"""""IN""""" Tiger Stadium was 2002.

LSU has won decisively over Alabama in Tiger Stadium in that same time frame in: 2004 and 2006 (as well as defeated them in 2000 and 2010 in BR.) LSU also beat Alabama decisively in Tuscaloosa in 2001 and 2003.

Congrats?

Honestly Im more worried about the Tennessee game than LSU, Brandon Harris won't be that improved to throw against this secondary now that these guys have more experience and the D line is stout enough to keep Fournette in check. Also, by this time the QB situation will be resolved so all that equals a lot of upset people in Death Valley

J Adams (JR) - two year starter

D Thomas (SR) - started nine games last year
D Jackson (SO) - started one game last year. Third CB, played in every game.
J Battle (JR) - played defense in every game was third safety at end of season. Dime back.

Return five with eight or more starts last year. Total of 50 starts from last year returning.

So your defense has a combined 18 losses in a row to Bama?

They dont understand that Bama fans have all seen these guys perform at high levels on the biggest of stages. From the SECG the playoff national semi final, and National championship.

They dont understand that Bama just won the championship with 3 freshman starting games in the secondary. All the pass rushers return. This defense is athletic as frick.

We completely understand that Bama fans a very confident due to recent success. We also understand that many of you are complete homers. I don't think anyone expects to actually convince the average gump that Bama might lose a couple a of games not win the SEC this year.

That's not the point or theme of the thread. The Gumps are saying that Bama's D will finish leading the conference...for LA math, that means you be behind.

GOTC feel to it

Hold on now.
A few questions must be answered first
Will the D adapt to the new scheme?
Will BH6 make the leap we need him to not be a one dimensional offense against tough Defenses?
Will Special Teams turn it around from their poor tackling performance?
Will the LBs be better than expected? (we are pretty thin)
We replace 2 OLs, will they be able to block the 'Bama D? (last year LF7 was getting hit as he got the hand off)

you do realize that harris had a higher per game passing yardage than dodd?

Dobbs is more of a dual threat than Harris, which is the type of QBs that Bama usually has problems with, even though we have been doing better against those types as of recently. Dobbs can keep the play alive with his feet enough for a guy to get open more than Harris.
