The question is, will LSU administration be going around and checking everyone's vaccine cards?

Paid hooks and blow... everybody knows.

I'm surprised the most 'woke' school in the SEC with their social distant regulations is allowing this.

They must have LOST a ton of money... and 'dey goin to need raise bout $20 million or so qic... ra-ra... Go Tigers'

It was the biggest joke last weekend. Go to a pre-verfication table, show a card or picture, and get a wristband. They needed zero proof that the card was yours and didn't look at it long enough to read anything. LSU is just putting on a show.

They claimed the actual attendance was 94k. I'd be surprised if there was actually 60k in the stadium. We have the most restrictions in the country for COVID, they have been slowly trying to kill the tailgating for years, and a shite product on the field. Hopefully the admin feels the pain this year because it is all on them.

Tailgating was allowed on campus but not on the LSU Parade Grounds.

quote:

For the first time since LSU banned Greek chapters from partying on the campus Parade Ground in 2018, fraternities are set to return to the tradition for Saturday’s game against Central Michigan, a university spokesman said.

LSU enforced stricter Greek policies after Max Gruver’s hazing death in 2017, but the school ultimately banned chapters from the parade grounds after security companies refused to service Greek tailgates.
The Advocate

Having the frat tailgates there meant that thousands of frat guys/sorority girls/college students in general would flock to the Parade Grounds. After the ban, there was pretty much no tailgating on the Parade Grounds. I'm not sure if anyone was allowed to set up there. I think there may have been some "corporate" tailgates (i.e. you pay a cover/for drinks). It was pretty sad. I know some fraternities just tailgated/pregamed at their houses because of this.

Ahh, I see now.

My bad dude, I read that subject as "after year-long ban," and thought this was something about COVID.

Interesting context, though. I had no idea they were still enforcing that from 2018.

I could see how that would be confusing. I opted for pics and funny gifs instead of context.

Upvoted for providing truth to the situation.

To clarify yes, tailgating was never banned from the parade grounds. But before 2017 it was where all of the fraternities tailgated. In 2017 LSU kicked them off and moved them to somewhere out of the middle of campus where they couldn’t be seen. People have been allowed to tailgate there since, but the big change is that they are letting the fraternities come back.
