S, I know you as the guy who puts TYFYS in 75 percent of his posts. Lol. Not a big deal, I just notice it now.

The funny part is Jalen had an immediate impact at Oklahoma because of his time at Alabama. I guess the 3 years of working under some of the best QB coaches didn't matter right?

It wasnt going to get him drafted if he doesnt go to Oklahoma.

But I know, you're an LSU, y'all will wait until he isn't a positive for Alabama, then never shut up about how he was an Alabama product.

Idk yall have had a few guys go elsewhere and flame out and I never really see anything about it.

Says who? He's a high character player and better than many other QBs who get drafted.

2nd round seems a bit high(even after Oklahoma), but not drafted at all? I seriously doubt that.

Like who? I can only think of like 2 players who transferred from Alabama and went on to have any success. Alvin Kamara is one of them, although Tennessee sure as hell didn't help him in that aspect. And Jalen is the other.

I feel like I'm missing someone, but can't think of anyone else at the moment.

And we don't generally count Kamara since he didn't start, much less multiple years in a row.

Cool. When I think of LSU QBs I always think of Jordan Jefferson flipping the ball to C J Mosley in the BCS championship game. 21-0.

Or Mettenburg crawling off like a possum that just got run over while his teammates walked right past him.

Pg 1 a few posts down

None started what I would say consistently but minus JR, Mett and Booty they all had some success. Flynn may have not panned out after leaving GB but he got paid

I hate you for making me quote Kiper.

quote:

“The development started two years ago at Alabama,” Kiper said. “He looked like a different quarterback than what he was. It’s not just what’s happened at Oklahoma with Lincoln (Riley), who’s done a great job no question. He is a quarterback whisperer. He is a great offensive mind. But I think it started under Nick Saban at Alabama there.”

He also didn’t sign a first round draft pick contract for $30 million guaranteed with a $19 million signing bonus.

You're wrong, but whatever.

I can agree he doesn't go 2nd. But he wouldn't fall past the 5th or 6th round.

Jamarcus Russell had the best career out of all of them.

I'm sure they hope Burrow exceeds that.

CoolI ! think of that same Jefferson throwing the long pass to Reuben Randle to help clinch the 24-21 victory over bama in 2010, and Jarrett Lee converting a 3rd and long deep in his own territory in the same game.
Or I think of Lee and Jefferson leading LSU to victory the following year in 2011 in tuscaloosa. And I think of Mettenberger playing the game of his life in 2012 in Baton Rouge and should have beaten bama that year...

I also think of Rohan Davey throwing for FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT YARDS against the Skoal Drool Things in 2001, completing 19 passes alone to Josh Reed.

And I think of Matt Mauck, Josh Booty, Davey, and Jamarcus Russell and Matt Flynn in their victories over bama between 2000 and 2007.

I also fondly remember Alan Risher, Jeff Wickersham, Tom Hodson beating the Tide in the 80s.
