How?

Which one was better?

I'm not a big NFL guy, but I can't remember any other LSU QB having much success.

I did a little research when you guys posted a similar thread like 2 weeks ago. It was not pretty.

Off the top of my head Flynn was in the league much longer.

As a backup.

I think you could probably count his starts on 1 hand.

Length of time in the league seems like the ultimate judge for success when you consider what we're dealing with.

Yeah, backup QB is probably the best position in the NFL. Good money and you don't have to half kill yourself getting it.

You're gonna tell me AJ hasn't had a successful career?

Has to be since none of the quarterbacks have really been long term starters.

Numbers seem to go to Flynn though.

You seem to be missing the other side of the conversation, another QB to compare him too. The debate was who had the better career, Russell or Flynn. Russell started for like 3 years I think. Flynn was a career backup.

AJ is a career backup QB. That's not what I would call a successful NFL career. Great for him and all that, but he's not a starter.

Russell has started 25 games to Flynn's 7 yet Flynn has only thrown one less touchdown and 13 less picks.

Pretty sad.

I looked it up. Russell has 25 starts, Flynn has 7.

Neither has a winning record in their starts. Flynn played for a much better team and still had a losing record as a starter.

That’s pretty dumb. A 5th and 7th round pick lasting as long as AJ has and Flynn has is successful.

I remember Al Skeletor Davis' press conference explaining why he forced Kiff to start Russell, that was surreal

Thats why I took the longevity angle.

No one really did a whole lot NFL wise.

Lsu with a 100% fail factor at QB. That’s not a good look.
