Why do you care? Bama isn't losing a home game. You just want to shite on LSU. Taking advantage of a natural disaster and a hard, significant decision to relocate one of the most profitable games for us, all to shite on LSU.
GFY.

it's an extreme situation but it's one that will allow USCe the most revenue and in the stadium that makes the most sense. no sense in moving both teams when LSU has the resources to host the game.
but keeping gumping gump

I know we didn't get along well before tDecision, but you're absolutely right.

LSU fans trying to figure out how to make the Gamecocks feel at home. Band's playing their alma mater. They're getting the gate less expenses. Probably gonna hear Sandstorm.
But sure, this is about Bama.

I still think this game is going to be close. LSU fans think i'm crazy i'm sure.

Most Gamecock fans too probably.

This game just won't be close. It might be closer now, due to inspired play. But that can only take us so far. We're just outmatched.

if LSU receivers keep dropping balls and the defense has more WTF moments... who knows
bad things can galvanize teams into playing above their heads... have seen it quite a few times

I look forward to watching. Wish I could make it out there. Only time I've been to LSU was in 2007 for an early morning rainy game. Would love to make it to a night game.

Moving the game to Baton Rouge is absolutely the best decision, seriously.
There are a lot of financial issues to consider here. Move the game to Atlanta or Charlotte- I doubt they would donate their stadium and staff free of charge; it would cost a good bit to do that. Ok, you make it up with the gate sales... so who's going to go? Last minute change of venue would make it tough for LSU fans travelling, so you'd lose a good bit there. As for Carolina fans- I get the feeling a whole lot of them have more important issues going on, and aren't going to make a road trip right now. Locals? Let's face it, unless it's something like Notre Dame popping up in New York etc, I doubt there's going to be a lot of interest in something like this, not at the last minute. Might have a stadium more than 1/2 empty.
Swapping to the venue of the other participating team provides the best atmosphere for the game, and probably the best financial payout too. If the situation were reversed, I'd agree with moving it to Columbia for the same reason.

Are you stupid ? Making money never comes at the expense of giving one team an advantage, in that case Vandy would always play on the road.

do not understand how the SEC Office has even considered giving one team 5 home games. This is crazy. Not because LSU is going to win the SEC west, they can't beat Bama, but you just can not give one team 5 home games.

A bama fan complaining about scheduling advantages

Not like we LSU fans haven't been down this road before.

I agree.
I don't think this should inspire a rule that the game should always be moved to the other team's home stadium in the event of some sort of natural disaster. I still think it should be up to the home school.
However, I think South Carolina made the right decision for them.

My SC friends are saying it was a good move BY YOUR AD because LSU is splitting the gate revenue and covering other costs. This is the best way to maximize your revenue outside of playing it at your home stadium.
Again, they told me YOUR AD made this decision, not the conference or LSU.
Wait, you mean people in this thread don't know what here talking abou?! Get out of town!

the upstate didn't have many issues. some tree branches down is the most of it.
upstate SC is one of the best places to live in country if you want to minimize potential natural disasters in your life.
