Half a mill is way LESS than MILLIONS. LSU is the one that had that clause added into contract NOT Kiffin. You know NOTHING about NIL. That's NOT how it works. NIL doesn't pay his salary now does it?

Due to the fact that the OM administration barred him from coaching playoff games and receiving postseason incentives

wonder how in the world did Lane get this facet of his contract in his contract?

Easy to negotiate when the other side is willing and giddy to get screwed. Sexton was throwing out absurd terms and LSU couldnt lap it up fast enough.

That's one way to think about it.

LSU is paying bonuses to Lane Kiffin for games that Ole Miss wins.

LSU is paying its offensive staff to coach for Ole Miss, including bonuses.

Now is that desperation?

Or is it contempt?

Because you could make a good argument that LSU cares so little about Ole Miss that we just view this as the cost of business.

They pretty much did EXCEPT for MOST important thing. the MONIES to build the roster. They too poor to match LSUs $40 million a year guaranteed to get BEST players on campus.

If you were a billion dollar operation would you still be doing business a decade later with someone that stole millions from you? LSU and LoL are joined at the hip in multi BILLION dollar projects to this day.

It wasn't LSU and had NOTHING to do with athletic dept. The dude that went to prison on embezzlement charges just happened to be an alum.
