it's more about Miami taking a step back than ND getting that much better.

So in your mind, they took a monumental step for mankind back

They beat ND by 33 last year, and this year you are saying ND will beat the absolute shite out of them

Miami is better than anyone on any other SEC team's schedule save Clemson against A&M.

I don't know. North Texas looked pretty salty.

I'd rank the early season SEC OOC P5 opponents as

1. Clemson (Top 5)
2. Washington (Top 10-15)
3. Notre Dame (Top 20-25)
4. Miami (Top 20-25)
5. Kansas State (6/7 wins)
6. Purdue (5/6 wins)
7. Louisville (5/6 wins)
8. Texas Tech (4/5 wins)

Like they did last year huh when Miami won 41-8?

IDK, I think it's probably fair to say they are both a bit overrated. Best three OOC opponents thus far are Clemson, Miami, and ND. Clemson, truthfully speaking, hasn't looked that stellar. I think they may be a bit overrated this year, too.

The only difference is LSU walked out of that one with a comfortable W on the road.

ETA: Forgot UW. Definitely add them into the mix of top 4 OOC opponents thus far.

Nah. Rice L was a typo.

Thank God LSU doesn't waste time on the stupid "Big Cat" drill anymore.

all credit for LSU wining in Miami. I really think ND would take Miami to the woodshed this year. for some reason, Richt has once again lost control.

Richt has lost control of everything. Rule no. 1 of football

ND, like Miami, could be good. I'm not entirely convinced on either. Miami has a pretty easy schedule going forward. They dodge Clemson this year. ND struggled with Ball State in week two, getting out of that game with a one score victory.

Despite how you feel about this, Miami will end the season in the top 10.

Look at their schedule.

VS #25 LSU L33-17
VS Savannah St W77-0
@ Toledo W49-24
VS FIU
VS North Carolina
VS Florida State
@ Virginia
@ #23 Boston College
VS Duke
@ Georgia Tech
@ #13 Virginia Tech
VS Pitt

Awful.

Let's compare that to LSU's stretch:
@ #7 AU
vs La Tech
vs Ole Miss
@ Florida
vs #2 UGA
vs #14 MSU
vs #1 Bama

Damn we're spoiled as SEC fans. No way around it.

I honestly can't imagine how jacked LSU fans have to be about that 3 game stretch after this start.

That's incredible.

It's really weird that this bothers you. Actually, it isn't. You can't stand LSU getting any positive attention.

Yeah, too bad we haven't faced quality opponents- like Alabama.
