Baker should have just submissively urinated when the reporter mentioned Trent Richardson's :peesinpants: name. It would have been the humble and respectful thing to do.
Maybe they should run and hide in fear after turning the lights out.

From now on (out of respect) we should all kneel at the name of TR.

Why is that?
That's what MOST would do and have done as not to give the other team any more motivation than they already have but like I said, I admire his confidence.

If he needs any more motovation for this game then yall have bigger problems to worry about than what LSU's LB's are saying.

1) the "team" is not complaining about it. Some of the Bama FANS are.
2) Do you REALLY think that it is possible to have more motivation for THIS game? Seriously? Was the Bama team going to be flat but for this quote?

GAWDDAMN Baker!
Trent probably would have skipped the game to go to see the Justin Beiber concert. But, NOW he is gonna show up and run hard.

TR would let her.

You're right and I do think TR was going to come out and play harder than ever regardless. I was just saying that I would have been more humble and let my actions on the field do the talking. I don't think it's a big deal either way.

What the hell did you want him to say? "No I can't tackle him at all, I'm only the best LBer on the the #1 team in the country, when he comes through the hole I think I'm just gonna lay on the ground".

Baker should have went with a more humble response.
why?

Richardson is a the best back in college football imho, and Baker would probably be well advised not to bet on any linebacker, inlcuding himself, CONSISTENTLY handling Richardson one on one once TR get's TO THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE WITH AN UNIMPEDED HEAD OF STEAM.
All that said, LSU's defense does have an advantage when defending Richardson that other Alabama opponents, and it's this.
If you've noticed (and someone put this stat out in another thread), the amount of tackles for loss that LSU has generated this year has been amazing.
Now while I don't believe that stat says "LSU will be tackling him for a loss" repeatedly, I have noticed (mainly in the Tennessee game)that Richardson doesn't do well with "getting what you can" on a play when the blocking got blown up, ie, a defender was in the backfield before he got to the line of scrimmage with an unimpeded head of steam.
It seems to disrupt him. He stops. He relies on pure talent alone, and make a play that's not there.
I do believe that really fast lineman (aka Mingo), living in the backfield before Richardson gets rolling, could potentially give TR problems that he hasn't faced/dealt with well this year.
In the end, I think he gets his yards, but doesn't look nearly as good as LSU RB's looked against Bama last year.

I love this classic response. Where did anyone said that anyone needed more motivation.

I probably would have too, but I dont think what he said was wrong either. Me and you are not a college linebacker on the #1 team in the country.

I'd have to say that he might be one of the best backs I have ever seen at "getting what you can". Weird that you think that...

I have only really watched him closely against Tennessee and he wasn't doing much to help himself out.
