LSU is going to be overpaying for Lane. He’s a good hire, but the hype is too great.

Lane found success at an Ole Miss program that had been underachieving for too long. He finally tapped into their resources and made them the program they could be with competent leadership. That’s why I think he’s a good fit for LSU.

But, at the same time, he’s going to be under extreme pressure to perform at LSU and I just don’t view Lane as a serious or even decent person. Yeah, Nick was an arse in a lot of ways, but he was serious. I think Lane’s schtick may wear thin in Baton Rouge quickly with the money they’re paying him if he doesn’t deliver quickly.

I think he will have success at LSU, but I could also see it being an overpaid tense relationship with the fanbase.

I don’t get this. Why would Bama be scared of Lane Kiffin coaching a team we play every other year? LSU fans so desperately want people to view this as a Saban hire.

I got a source that is money, who said the only reason he took the job is so he doesn't have to play Bama every year. Now that is real fear.
