LSU paid a lot of money to bring in players. I'm not sitting here hyping our team up. But, it wouldn't be a shock if LSU was a contender. Obviously a lot of that depends on coaching as well.

Why do people think Nussmeier is good? I have watched him play quite a bit and he seems like a JAG.

That's rich coming from a team whose QB has barely played any college football and is ranked #1. That last name will only carry you so far.

At least our QB has real SEC experience and put up pretty solid numbers last year.

Yeah, most fans prefer to brag on how terrible their players are and try to be as unsupportive as possible. But I guess there's some rouge LSU fans that think they got some good players. As i fan, i can't imagine thinking your team is good.

That's kind of the point. He has a lot of experience. And has not been anything but pretty average.

Against FBS opponents (taking out Nicholls State), he had 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He played like shite against A&M, Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, and South Carolina. I just don't understand why people think he is good. He has a long track record of 31 games played and being mediocre.

He throws too many interceptions and is not very accurate despite playing with great receivers (62% career completion %)

Arch has to prove it. But he played well when called upon last year.

My opinion???? My opinion is we only have 10 weeks, at most, until Next Year U fans start talking about how loaded LSU will be next season.

And contrary to the belief of some LSU fans, I have a lot of confidence in this staff BK assembled

BK
Frank Wilson
Brad Davis
Joe Sloan
Cortez Hankton
Kevin Peoples
Kyle Williams
Blake Baker
Corey Raymond
Alex Atkins

Brian Thomas
Kelvin Bolden
Sam Petitto

My goodness where is the weakness on this staff, you have great leadership, great technical knowledge for the positions, great play-calling, great track record of development for the next level, great recruiting track record, etc. many LSU fans should be bullish on this foundation BK built

r. I have heard nothing good about their defense from anyone besides LSU fans

Just go look at the list of transfers LSU went and got on defense. Blake Baker took a defense with very little talent from 108 to 58. Now he as a ton of NFL talent on that defense. Defense is not our concern. OL play is.

And in games against FBS opponents, he threw for 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Y'all are excited to run him back out? Why? He's inaccurate and turns the ball over too much. He also is a statue who was 10th out of 16th in pass rating for SEC quarterbacks last year (sandwiched between guys like Pavia and Reed who can actually run the football). I just do not get it. Seems like a very pedestrian QB who racks up some yardage because LSU throws a lot.

I've seen really good LSU QBs. He ain't one of them.

I think LSU is going to be amazing this season. 10-2 or 9-3 at worst.

He can be but his problem is not running when it’s a glaringly obvious time to do so.

Both Burrow and Daniels were fairly pedestrian in their first seasons as well.

Fair or not, people are expecting Nuss to be better than he we last year. Also, there aren't many returners who were better.

Nuss is going to be elite. With those receivers they are going to be good
