I did. I told you there have been two OC's before. One calls running plays the other calls passing plays..........for the entire game. Tulsa did that exact thing when Gus was co-OC there. Herb Hand and Gus each called plays in certain situations.

So you can't.

Hint: LSU didn't have co-OC's in 2019.

well, maybe not in title.....but when a person takes over the offense and calls plays, they are the OC. You can semantic it to death. It is what it is.

You obviously know very little about football if you didn't know other schools have used different play callers for different parts of the field or using a different play caller for passing and running plays.

So Orgeron did something no other coach has by having an offensive coordinator relinquish playcalling to a subordinate in the most important area of the field.

I think we're done here.

Sure looks like co-OC. He did all season in the booth next to Ensminger.

Yet I'm still waiting for you to cite one example of it between a coordinator and their subordinate.

Weird.

If you ignore everything you've posted, you wouldn't be completely wrong about everything you've posted.

Congrats.

and you just posted a link to Joe Brady being WR coach/PGC after I posted E explicitly saying that Brady took over calling plays in certain situations of the game........every time.

ETA but you are dumb enough to think nobody has ever done this before, so...........

He literally was the PGC and wide receivers coach. The point I made is Orgeron gave his PGC coordinator an unprecedented amount of responsibility.

I'm glad you've finally caught up to what was posted several pages ago.

No. O just didn't give him the title. There is a big difference. He let the guy come in and revamp the entire passing game......without a title. That surely is groundbreaking stuff.

So no one has done it before? Pretty sure that's what I said, several pages ago.

Got it. Thanks for your melt though.

Plenty have. Your knowledge of college football is lacking. You apparently know nothing about other colleges and their past. You also know very little about how things were at LSU, for that matter.

How many times am I going to have to ask for a link to just one passing game coordinator given the level of responsibility that Brady was?

Since there are so many, it should be easy. Yet here I am, still waiting.

ETA: It's funny that I've had to educate you on the fact that passing game coordinator and co-offensive coordinator isn't the same thing.

I'm the one who doesn't know how this works though.

stop being stuck on the "title" bullshite. Brady was co-OC any way you dice it up. If he was calling plays, he was the OC at that time. That's what OC's do.......they call plays. It's the same with DC's.

Many, many, many schools have used multiple play callers. It's having more than one person calling plays during a game......."title" be dammed.

I'm fine with it.

O hinted in interview that we have our offense and it isn't changing. Linehan will help on 3rd down and redzone. Same playbook but it comes down to execution.

if the offense succeeds this year, and I think it will, \ LSU will again be looking for another Passing Game coordinator this time next year. All while building O's coaching tree on wait for it... Offense.

There isn't a program in the country that would trade places right now. Well, not one in the SEC at least. I doubt Clemson wants to get rid of their bubble wrap fight schedule. Even pillow fight is too aggressive for that list of teams in 2020

So ignore what makes you look foolish, because it makes you look foolish.

So you can't cite any that had an offensive coordinator and a subordinate splitting the duties?

I didn't think so.

another LSU fan who doesn't have a clue.

Again, straight out of E's mouth.......

quote:

Q. How do you decide on what you want to do in the red zone each time?
STEVE ENSMINGER: Look, I have a game plan that's sitting right here. I'll be honest with you here. When we get in the red zone, 12 in, that's Joe Brady. Unless I want to run a play-action, go fast, we'll go. When we get inside the 12, I tell Joe, It's yours and he calls it.

How many co-OC's have complete veto power if they want it?
