Fat Fowler also has gotten 99% of his carries in garbage time. Hilliard actually plays when the game is still in doubt.

Statement looks the same and has same basis of evidence.

This is fun.

Alabama (coaches and fans) doesn't comprehend the idea of rotating quality depth.

Alabama usually always rotates 2-3 backs so what does that even mean?

Ware, Ford and Blue would have numbers much closer to Trent's if they were a featured back.
Not even close. Ware carried the ball as much as most featured backs in the SEC (15 attempts per game) except for TR and MD. You could add Ware and Ford's numbers together and they fall short of TRs. Hell, you could add Ware, Ford and Hilliard's numbers together and you would still have fewer touchdowns, fewer ypc and only about 100 more total yards than TR.

Ware was a featured back. Have through the season he had 50 more carries than EL but only 100 more yards and 1 more td. His numbers were no where near TR's.

To say Fowler is better than Hilliard or Hilliard is better than Fowler is purely speculation.

It is at this point, but I would take Hilliard over Fowler if given the choice. Neither is a top 3 SEC type back, but both can be very productive in a rotation.

You have 5 solid backs, but you don't have a Trent Richardson.

It looks like "much closer to Trent's numbers than they are now" needs to be explained.

If Ford had as many carries as TR, he would have more yards. Same for Blue. Ware would not be close, but he would be closer.

This is based on ypc, which is the only calculable way of estimating. I'm aware this will not be acceptable to some of you, but I am not sure how else to extrapolate. Even if their ypc went down, my statement is still true if you understand what it means. I did not say they would be as productive, I said they would be closer. It's really not an arguable point.

Addai, Joseph Indianapolis Colts LSU
Faulk, Kevin New England Patriots LSU
Murphy, Richard Jacksonville Jaguars LSU
Ridley, Stevan New England Patriots LSU
Williams, Keiland Detroit Lions LSU
Hester, Jacob San Diego Chargers LSU

Ingram, Mark New Orleans Saints Alabama
McClain, Le'Ron Kansas City Chiefs Alabama

Of all LSU's backs, only Faulk was a real college RB star. The rest were part of a team of backs. Something that LSU has been doing for awhile.

So who was the team with Ridley and his 250 carries?

ETA: Or Hester and his 225?

you can't compare backs soley on ypc. there's a reason trent will likely go in the top 10 of next years draft.

it's also beneficial to ford that he has like 4 backs rotating with him. he's always fresh when he gets in. We run Trent until he's completely fatigued.

I'd also like to point out that Eddie Lacy has a 7.5 ypc. Does that mean he'd have more yards than Trent if he had the same amount of carries?

quit arguing with the gumps, they get pleasure out of that. Just tell them that any one of their backs is better than all of ours combined, and that they will destroy us in the Dome because they outplayed us and were the better team on 11-5 and that they will dominate us again next year en route to their 2nd NC in a row.

They are the bammers; we must bow down. Don't reply to me either figs, just go along with your business.
