Some hyper wealthy people’s net worth goes down a bit and a lot of coaches and folks in the AD get fired

It’s like pretending that professional teams are paying their players in a lump sum the second they sign a contract

It’s ludicrous

Who cares.

The money is spread across multiple years and is total athletics spending is probably still in the ballpark of the other major programs.

Like did you think LA citizens had to vote to pass a tax increase for buyouts, NIL, the entirety of coaching salaries, etc?

Why do you care? Is LSU asking you to foot the bill?

And somehow we are able to win championships while your school is not capable of winning any.

Kinda my feeling. Why should I care? I don't live in Louisiana and it's not my money paying for any of it. How some rich billionaire donors choose to spend their money for my entertainment, have it it

If you're afraid of that, then maybe you don't need to be in the P4. That's what college sports have become, at this level.

If you're worried about minimizing risks, you should be in the Sun Belt or CUSA. If you're in the SEC, you're at the Baccarat table with Bond, and need to play that way.

I remember when the Rant, especially LSU fans, lost their minds when Nick Saban became the first coach to sign a contract paying a $10 million per year base salary. Now just 5 years later those same people are shrugging off spending over $20 million per year on Lane Kiffin.

that is a LOT of fricking money for college sports.

Right! And the absolute best thing that can happen is you win a championship and then immediately pay more to try and do it again. Hamster wheel shite.

I remember when I paid $1.99 regular price for chicken breasts. You can barely get it on sale for that price anymore.

We know.

By your own admission, Reek, you let anonymous LSU posters break you completely and you put your brokenness on display every day.
