Didn't watch. Must've been working, but just went back and looked at the recap and it was 37-13 after three quarters and LSU had like 210 yards of total offense at that point. Was Tennesee's defense really the 85 Bears and Tennessee's offense gods gift to football? Or did LSU underestimate them?

It was a massive snowball game.

We definitely had a shot to get back into it at the end of the first half it was 20-7 and we were moving the ball on offense pretty well in the first half. Jayden actually had more yards passing than hooker until their final drive of the half and I think we had more total yards. We dropped a sure fire touchdown would have made it 20-14 and going into half down 6 with an absolute disaster of play (muffed opening kick offs etc) Kelly stupidly went for it on fourth and 6 with enough time for them to get the ball back and get a FG that made it 23-7 they got the ball back out of half scored a TD to make it 30-7 and it was done.

That’s why I want a rematch

I believe Tennessee had the ball 2x before the 12 minute mark of the 1Q and both times they were on our own 23 yard. It was about as bad of a start as you could imagine. Throw in some questionable play calling and the 1H looked far worse than it was.

Bad display of football. All aspects of the game lacking. Give a team like UTee presents you won't win. All in all, horrible horrible game.

We didnt lay an egg, Tennessee is just plain better than us this year.

Why can't both be true?

Tenn was definitely a better team than LSU.

But "better" teams get beaten in college football all the time. In order to do so, the inferior team has to play their best and either out scheme the better team and/or hope they shoot themselves in the foot a bit.

LSU also laid an absolute egg on the field.

We fumbled the opening kickoff, gave up a TD, went 3 and out, then gave up a 50 yard punt return which led to a FG. We were down 10-0 before the stadium was full. After that we proceeded to play catchup and go for it and fail on 4th down multiple times.

I am not saying LSU would win a rematch, but I definitely think it'd be much more of a game.

You can still lay an egg to a better team. But you won't win in doing so. You have a chance if you do not lay said egg

Man, that would be 1 hell of a rebuild season. Still unlikely that we win every game the next 3 weeks, but if we did, that would be an incredible rebuild.

It would be a little shameful to lose to the same team twice, but I don't think I could even be upset by that.

We had a bad game with ST issues that directly resulted in points for TN; and offensively, things hadn’t clicked yet for Daniels.

Kelly got a lot of flack for going for it on 4th downs, and for his comments after the game in which he said he understood that the score and the game looked bad, but internally they thought the team wasn’t that far off and was very close to “getting it.”

He was right.

But I will say even if LSU played to its potential, I think that day may have been a closer score, but still a TN W.
