At first it did hit me that this was prob the best we will ever see and I was a tiny bit bummed after the season. But then, that passed very quickly and turned to excitement for the future of our program. I do not believe it will be another 12 years before we win another title, book it. O is ready to unleash...he wants a dynasty built.

UF may have a team top 2008..but my God that team was elite. Still shocked I witnessed the loss first hand. Was stunned for sure. Still got to see that team live a few times and am thankful I did. Still remember that year very vividly and hope we recreate something that special again soon.

It’s made me content as a fan. 2003 was magical but you still had the loss to Florida and the “split title” with SC. 2007 was a crazy year but they lost to Arkansas and Kentucky. 2019 was just a pure joyride throughout and got rid of the 1/9/12 curse. When times get tough for lsu football I now have the memories of a perfect season that most fan bases don’t.
Having said this, as an LSU fan I’m sure I’ll still be calling to fire everyone the first 3 and out or touchdown given up next year.

Good question.... why don't you tell us how it feels?

Knowing that down can still equate to championships.

That being said, like any good fanbase, after 5-10 more years of them not winning it and Bama getting another 2-3, they'll clamor for more. They should.
Bama will have to go toe-to-toe with LSU going forward. Coach O is building a team that will compete with bama. he is bringing the talent that is equal to bama and has done what it takes to make sure the offense is not one dimensional. Bama may win a few more titles but that title run will now go thru LSU as well.

Personally I love the talk about how last season was a one hit wonder, it will ensure coaches and players are going to have a chip on their shoulders again. May never replicate last season, but it gives us something to strive for as well

Doesn’t mean we won’t win more championships. And don’t worry we will. If u followed LSU like many of us fans and saw the day to say regarding what O is doing u woukd understand the confidence

LSU fans: what’s it feel like knowing it’s only down from here? by Boom Angry I don’t even mean this as a troll question. You’ve just witnessed what will probably be the best LSU team of all time and arguably the greatest season of all time. You’ll probably never experience anything like it again. How do you feel about that? At this point, I never see a UF team topping 2008.
Gator,
You couldn’t find your own arse with both hands and a roadmap with Dan Mullen holding a flashlight for your sorry arse!
Myles Brennan will break 10 LSU Records and should get LSU back to the SECCG —
Something you Gators won’t sniff. Get back to us after Myles Stump Phuckks your gators in the Swamp

Welp.. great/fantastic year. Our talent level is back up to the 2007-2012 years, especially on the line of scrimmage. LSU had become very average on the line of scrimmage Frankly our defensive line was average last year.
Our line of scrimmage talent has significantly upgraded. Our QB room is at a talent level and depth that we have not seen ever. We are recruiting nationally like never before.
LSU plays in the toughest division in College Football
LSU now has an analyst team as good or better than Bama filled with a combination of coaches and NFL players..
Might not be 15-0 again. But LSU will be an annual contender for the CFB playoffs

Fine considering this is the 3rd NC I've seen LSU win so I know we can still win titles

Actually, we just all witnessed not only what will probably be the best LSU college football team ever of all time, but also what will probably be the greatest football team of all time.
Not only will LSU fans probably not experience something like the 2019 season ever again, but all college football fans will also probably never experience something like that ever again as well.
Nonetheless, LSU doesn't have to be as great as the 2019 team was to get back to the pinnacle of college football.
In fact, it has a very good shot at making another natty run in 2020. What with Jamar Chase, Terrace Marshall, and Racey McMath in the receiving corp, John Emery, Ty Davis-Price, and Chris Curry all very good running backs, and with the highest-rated tight end in 247 Sports history starting at tight end.
Meanwhile, the offensive line will be as good or a little better than in 2019. While Myles Brennan, who passed for over 15,000 yards and 165 touchdowns and also ran for a little over 1100 years and another 23 touchdowns in his high school career and who also understudied under Joe Burrow for two seasons, will be the starter at QB.
Then there is the defensive line that is the deepest in many years, there are two times Buck Buchanan Award-winner Jabril Cox transferring to play linebacker for LSU alongside future All-SEC linebacker Damone Clark.
Not to mention anchoring the defensive backfield is future first-rounder Jacoby Stevens at safety and consensus All-American Derik Stingley at cornerback. Not to mention that Todd Harris returns at safety after injuring his ACL in the third game of the season last season. As Harris initially was the starter at his safety spot last season and other players like Mo Hampton and Kary Vincent, one of the fastest players in college football, will also see a lot of playing time at safety. Then Elias Ricks one of the best cornerbacks in the 2020 recruiting class will probably anchor the other cornerback spot.
Hence, I can envision LSU easily besting Florida at home on their way to another natty championship run.
