I remember reading on the board about two weeks ago that he sustained an injury of some sort, a hamstring? I was looking on your board to find more info but could not find anything. What is his status going into the playoff?

I think y'all can beat OU without him but might need him in the championship game, assuming you TCOB in the Peach bowl. Seems like he is a very important part of the offense with the way they split him out wide to create mismatches and the fact that he is a valuable check down with his pass catching capability. Not to mention, he a hard runner. What is the word on his availability for the playoff? How are your backups? Its Davis-Price and John Emery?

E said he’ll play. TDP is our Downhill bruiser, and Emery is our Do it all slasher guy. Both are capable backups, and both are going to be a REAL problem in the future.

What Sponge Bob said.

CEH gives us an interesting aspect in that we don’t change personnel. He runs. He catches. He blocks.

The name of the game in CFB on Defense is situational substitution based on down, distance and personnel. If you have a squad on offense that is versatile enough to do whatever they want without subbing then the lack of need to sub personnel takes away an option to sub on D.

Meaning you have to guess the call using only down and distance. When you aren’t subbing on offense it also makes the down/distance subbing much more difficult for the Defense. It also makes tempo easier on Offense.

Not sure that TDP or Emery (or Curry) can replicate the versatility at RB on offense that CEH brings to the table. But they are both-as runners-will be superior backs compared to CEH. Eventually.

So watch the sub packages. Watch Tempo. Watch the blocking though we infrequently (though sometimes we admittedly do) keep the back in for pass pro. Watch the run game productivity.

But don’t be too too worried. Not sure that the pin this LSU Offense is dancing on the head of is balanced by CEH.

If I had to guess, he doesn't play this next game but is back full strength to play Clemson.

Guessing he won’t play unless we need him. TDP to start.

Clyde got 50 percent chance he plays but I'm not worried. Got 3 backs on roster that can handle it. Takes all 3 these guys to do what Clyde can do

Joe is the engine that drives this offense but Clyde is the wheels it runs on.

Clyde’s pass catching ability is unparalleled by any other current college running back.
Clyde is the safety valve for Joe and the mismatch on the goal line.

Clyde’s heart and will to win helped up beat bama. Clyde dominated that game. Besides Joe of coarse, Clyde is the most valuable player on this team.

Won't need him at all for Oklahoma or Ohio State. Will need him for Clemson.

Got Curry and Ty Davis price that can handle it no problem. Two bruising hard hitting runners.

Honestly I think LSU wins this game easily with or without him. I wouldn’t even consider playing him and focus 100% on getting him ready for Jan 13

I tend to agree with that sentiment.

Rest him...save him for CFP Final.

LSU should be able to beat OU with me at RB.

CEH will be a huge loss. No doubt about it! But, shouldn't need him against the defenseless Okies. I believe he's a must have if LSU is to have a legitimate shot at beating OSU or Clemson.

CEH won't play a snap on Saturday, I predict. And it will hurt our offense given his great blocking, receiving, and penchant for making 2-3 extra yards after contact on many running/passing plays.

If we can win on Sat, I do think he'll be back for the NCG. But even that is iffy.

So the coaches just said they think he will play. My bet is they do the same thing with CRH as y’all did with Swift to us. We had to prepare for him, which takes away preparing for other players, because he was supposed to play but was really just a decoy. I think that is what we do with CEH because I don’t think he will be a 100%, and if your hamstring is 100% and you go all out on it. Good chance you pop it again. And CEH is a violent cutter and spin moves his ham strings need to be 100%
