And the final spot is also just short of the ESPN line.
But if you look closely - it's the ESPN line that is wrong, not the spot.
This play happened on the 3rd play of the game in 2012 against Ole Miss. It wasn't some kind of critical thing and has no impact on the game and was never close. Alabama punted on the drive. But it makes for a great gif due to the ref bumbling around.

No beef with them yet this season. If they end up giving another team a win over LSU again, like they did with aTm last year, then there will be a huge uproar. That was bullshite, and everyone that watched that game knows LSU won it and aggy got it given to them by the officials. It was an obvious screw job. It also cost us the opportunity to play in the sugar bowl in nola.

Yall love to portray LSU fans as some sort of whining fan base over nothing. When in reality, there have been several missed, blown, or flat out wrong calls made that have cost us big games. If we wouldn't have directly won the games off of those calls, we would have at least had a chance to win the games, some of them we would have won for sure. Bama fans, who are the main ones saying this about LSU fans, don't ever have to put up with horrible calls like that. Somehow, it's always LSU that gets the bs call that goes against us vs bama and it's at a crucial point in the game. Sorry if we LSU fans point out bullshite when we see it. Gfy.

I hate this argument that there is some conspiracy. These officials want to get it right. Their livelihoods depend on it. Ridiculous to think otherwise. However they must improve all the way around. We lost the A&M game because we gave up big plays late in the game and n OT. The PI call was ?’ble but we caught breaks n the AU win. Now the one call that I truly believe did kinda screw LSU was when there were 2 seconds left and in the rule book it states that 3 seconds must be on clock for a play to be possible. Regardless our db’s Gave up a long TD like 25 yards or so. Almost a Hail Mary. LSU D can’t let that happen
