I actually dated a Kappa for almost a year in college, not the same one from Locomotion though thankfully.

metairie sucks. Uptown & the Warehouse District are the two of the best southern neighborhoods to live in for young peeoples.

I like Magazine Street area. And I would have enjoyed living there. But I'm also not that young anymore. I have done the loft-full-of-IKea thing and the downtown high-rise thing. I enjoyed it for a time.

There was also a time when an hour commute through city traffic was "normal" for me. Not anymore. I just view it as unnecessary bullshite.

I like this speed.

I make good money, have some good restaurants that I can't afford all the time, and I'm also 40 minutes from a deer stand, and 20 minutes from a campsite at Devil's Den (and 5 minutes from Razorback Stadium).

Magazine is a great area. Most young people live a block or two off so they're not paying rent out the arse. Warehouse district is my favorite. It's downtown living, but pretty close to Uptown if you want something different. also, little to no crime.
