Florida is prepared and understands how to handle storms like this
Florida hasn't faced a storm like this in 10 years. The east coast of Florida hasn't seen a hurricane since 1950.
Sounds like lots of practice

gotta go back to the early 90s since they have had any major ones.
i think they are in for a rude awakening.
face it most of the posters are probably kids and weren't even born in 1990

I can just see Saturday morning and most of that part of Florida not having electricity...
does UF have an independent back-up generator system?
does the Swamp?

LSU fans are absolutely delusional.
Since you are quick to accuse LSU fans.. Let me leave these facts here for you to consider:
Your Governor has released the following:
"This is serious. ... Don't take a chance. A small movement (of Hurricane Matthew) could mean a lot. That's why we have to prepare for a direct hit. So again, if you need to evacuate and you haven't, evacuate. This storm will kill you. Time is running out."
Here is what the news and national weather service is saying:
Here's what you need to know now about the powerful storm that forecasters say is gaining strength:
• Authorities urge more than 2 million people to leave their homes in coastal Florida, Georgia and South Carolina as the storm nears -- the largest mandatory evacuations in the United States since Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast in 2012.
• Based on the latest projections, Matthew could make landfall in Florida early Friday as a Category 4 hurricane with winds from 131 mph. It could also skirt the coast as it continues north. Outer rain bands from the storm are already approaching Florida.
Yeah but sure.. LSU fans are the ones that are delusional.

LSU fans say: shut up you pussies. Youre gonna take this arse whipping one way or another. brace your collective anus'.

No one gives a frick about whether or not the fans can come or not. You sound like a fricking dipshit
I thought the main argument was having the right amount of resources to put on a college football game when they could be used elsewhere?

Several USC fans had their heads in the sand leading up to the game last year, even though there wasn't potable water, electricity, accessible roads, or emergency personnel available. I guess it comes with being a fan, you will ignore the obvious if the alternative benefits your team in some way or the obvious may hurt your team. I'd have to think if the roles were reversed Florida fans would feel the same way everyone else does about this game. And this is not just LSU fans. I've been reading tweets and news blurbs from reporters across the region talking about how stupid Florida is trying to host this game

The weird thing is that this is exactly what everyone was saying just last year for Hurricane Joaquin. Everyone was laughing at LSU fans for being ridiculous, scared, rustled, and it turned out that it was record flooding in South Carolina, with dams bursting and general devastation and whatnot.
But for some reason, because Gators!, it's different this year.
Whatever.
At least we can say that South Carolina wasn't scared to play in Baton Rouge.

Dude, the cone does not represent the eye at all.
You are so retarded. The cone represents the possible eye track....and nothing else.

Sweet Jesus,
You are so full of shite.
Tropical Force winds extend 160 miles out (at Cat 3 stage) and Hurricane winds are 40 miles out. Somewhere in between is where the winds will gust or sustain in Gainesville. It doesn't matter whether it's "outside of the cone".
Roads could be blocked and power could be out.
Florida will have to deal with a major disaster response and Florida is not immune from the situation outstripping it's ability to respond effectively.
Regardless, you think a football game is that important?
Seriously, no one wants to whip the Gators asses for a fourth consecutive year more than LSU but I would not fly a team into that storm. You think LSU's hotel accommodations are more important than people who have to evacuate need those rooms?

Go read the Tiger Rant. There is no compassion. It's pussified conspiracy theories and a board full of people begging for the game to be played in Baton Rouge.
