Honestly. I think LSU is over all the better team but I’m not confident in a win. 50/50

I’m 50/50. Just sorta taking a “I’ll believe it when I see it” mentality into this game

After last year, it is hard to have too much confidence but our team is better than last years and Bama's is worse overall IMO. Also Bama hasn't played anyone yet, so I am hopeful but if I had to bet I would pick Bama by 2 scores, though I also picked Bama by two scores in the NC last year so what do I know.

Different year - different team - different operations. I hope you are using the last 8 years as a barometer of how this is going to go down. You and your gump brethren will be in for a rude awakening if you are. Never understand why people look way into the past in college football - makes no sense.

LSU fans, honest questions about how you feel about the game

Honestly after 8 straight losses, it’s hard to feel overconfident.

It will not shock me at all if Bama wins in a dominant fashion.

That said, we have the kind of offense that can put up points on Bama.

I think this is the best and most real shot we have at winning since We had Mettenberger at QB.

I’m more confident this season than I’ve been in the past. LSU actually has an offense that can put points on the scoreboard. Beating Bama at home is a tall order for any football team though. FTR, I took LSU and the points.

I’m confident. I said overly confident. I’ll talk shite all day but I’m sweating bullets over this one.

I do love our rushing game though particularly if they decide to go dime all day and force us to run. Clyde will feast.

LSU fans, honest questions about how you feel about the game...

At peace. Every year since the 2012 NCG we've been a step behind Bama except the year with Mett, Juice, and OBJ. Our antiquated offensive scheme meant that our defense and special teams was going to basically have to win the game and even though we all hoped the team would get it done, we knew we were at a disadvantage.

This year is a whole different animal. This LSU offense is filthy good and the defense is just as nasty as it usually is, but it's overshadowed by the offensive success. This year, we know that we aren't playing at a disadvantage. We have the tools to win and the fact that it is on the road at 2:30 means that our guys don't have to sit and stew on everything all day. They can treat it as a business appointment and keep the nerves at bay.

I'll push the question back to you as a Bama fan, are you going to get yourself super confident? The last time you played a team with a good offense, you lost 44-16. You nervous?

Saban has broken them. It's kinda sad really. I don't talk much trash because I know LSU will beat Bama eventually. But, the vast majority of LSU fans I talk to this year say things like,"I think it's gonna be a good game" or "we gonna score on y'all this year".
It's shocking because I know this is could easily be the year LSU breaks the streak. I guess they've been disappointed for so long now that to expect victory feels futile.
Of course, these are IRL fans. The attitude is different on SEC Rant.

Not a fan of either team, but I agree with these two statements:

I feel Alabama had the best WR Corp I’ve ever seen in college.

I feel, for the first time in 7 years, like LSU is going into the game with a loaded gun

Cautiously optimistic with Burrow as the leader.
Without Burrow dramatically pessimistic.
Honestly.

That’s nonsense.

During the 8 game streak, LSU had 2 of those games won. One more for sure was 50/50.

Bad breakdowns in the last few minutes cost us in those games.

Mabey we win next Saturday. Mabey we don’t. But LSU ain’t been broke by Saban.

I know this. We coming with something y’all ain’t seen from LSU these last 8 years.

I give us a 37.5% chance to win which is better than the 30% chance I gave us to beat UGA last year. So it's trending up.

I’m picking Bama to win. LSU just needs to keep it close and make the game competitive. Then, win out and still have a solid chance of making the CFP having played one fewer game than Bama.

Ok your pissy attitude isn’t lost on anyone, but anytime you have #1 v #2 and both teams fans aren’t a bit apprehensive, then they aren’t that bright.

This is a heavyweight MMA title fight and anytime you have that anything can happen and either die can win. This will be a classic and I personally don’t buy the 52-46 type hype of this games score. I think it will still be a slug fest and first to 35 wins

The arrogant Cajun will tell you we are going to kick your arse with or without tua. As an alumni I am confident we will play you better then the last few years. But until you get the 8 year monkey off your back, people are just blowing smoke... how can any rational person feel confident when we haven’t gotten close in 8 years. Bring on the downvotes my fellow LSU fans... just being rational and realistic

Well maybe we should just up the offer??? Cmon man... you are mad because you think they cheat more than us? On any given night in sports any team can beat the best... and that’s happened very little with Saban. If he was just a guy who played players he wouldn’t be able to evaluate talent, make halftime adjustments, or come up with an entirely new scheme. I’m an LSU fan and yes he’s our rival but to to dismiss what he’s done to me is asinine.. Auburn cheated and only won 1 championship...
