Having, or not having, Arik as part of LSU’s roster will not affect my life in any meaningful way. But I will enjoy watching LSU punk him on the field like we always punk UGA.

All we know is that the dude is a head case and were indifferent about having him return to the team. I hope he turns it around at UGA, but frankly, it's nice to finally be done with him.

I think the takeaway is fans are homers and aren't exactly rational. This isn't specific to any one fanbase. A simple search of Fields threads on the UGA board will provide plenty examples. And you'll find this for any fan base on any hot story about their team. Fans will spin whatever makes them feel better about a situation, and other fans will troll them and say all "insert school" fans are stupid. Rinse and repeat
