Yes/No? Explain.

Their are a lot of people that believe LSU could have gone out an actually hired a coach that could take their program to even better places. A coach that would have more than 1 national championship at a place like LSU, which recruits itself pretty much.

I think Les is a good football coach, but I'm on the fence with the extra money and extension. A lot of football coaches could do what Les has done at LSU. JMO.

Yes. Market vale is market value. He is the winningest coach in the sec over the last 3 seasons.

Arbitrary timeline is arbitrary.

I'm not a big fan of it but the man wins, so I guess you gotta give it to him.

I'm still trying to figure out how much more $$ he's getting.

Maybe but LSU isn't in the position to just hand the keys over to a supposed "up and coming" guy.

So why does he have the best winning percentage in LSU history?

I like the extension. I shudder to think about what depths we would reach by running Les off and making a shitty hire. Why would anyone let a coach with his record go and hope the next guy would do better?

Saban set the foundation? Look, LSU is a great job, but I'm thinking you guys could do better than Les. I have a lot of respect for LSU's HC position and program.

Saban had the forms staked down by Dinardo as far as in-state recruiting goes. Saban just poured the concrete. We have more reasons to be grateful to Mark Emmert. He was the true visionary of LSU athletics.

Like when Spurrier built the foundation at UF and Zook fell on his face when he took over? Foundation is nice keeping it going is just as hard.

Who would do better than Miles? He has proven the best LSU has ever had at the HC position.

Im glad we extended Les' contract. Atleast we know we will recruit well and compete with National Powers each season. With a good offensive coordinater we will be even stronger. I just hope he moves to be stronger on that part of his staff.
