I'll say this in defense of past coordinators...I think what we saw Saturday night wasn't the presence of great play calling as much as the lack of "no, run this one"

Les has done something he should have done a long time ago, he's handed over the reins. Whether this lasts all year is another thing

There was no clock management issue. LSU had the opportunity to take the last snaps of the half and try to score. They scored with no time left on the clock. They didn't have to kickoff to a team that had already returned a kick.

You make it sound like it was a plan. If your receiver doesn't drop the ball, the clock runs out and you go into half up 13-10. Lucky for you he dropped it and the clock stopped.

What about the consecutive false starts when you had 3rd and goal from the 2?

Or having to call timeout in the 4th quarter to avoid a delay when you're trying to run the clock out? Who do you blame that on?

I'm surprised there haven't been more Cameroon jokes.

That was clearly Mett's fault.

I gave it a shot, but it's a tough crowd around here.

If you think this was clock mismanagement, you need to watch more football.

There were no time outs at this point. Running was not an option anyway

Look at the next play, on 3rd and goal from the 12 Mett throws a bad pass to a guy not in the endzone.

Luckily he dropped it and the clock stopped. If the play goes according to plan, you go into half up 13-10 with no points when you had the ball on TCU's 2 yard line. I would call that a combination of poor clock management and bad play calling.

The TO was after a first down. They ran the clock down and called it. No problem there

The game clock starts as soon as the ball gets set on a first down. The clock was running when you had to call timeout, not just the play clock.

It's pretty clear to understand.

Lsu was trying to run the clock out in a close game in the 4th quarter, but you had to call a timeout. That is called poor clock management.
