Is anyone in BADM 790 with me right now? This class has been tough up to this point, but I feel like it just escalated quickly in difficulty this week.

I recently discovered Lucky Palace. Its a high end Chinese restaurant in a trashy motel in Bossier across from Diamond Jacks. They boast to have the best wine selection in town. The food is amazing. Duck Pancakes are some of the greatest things I have ever eaten. I promise you will love it.
I would like to second this. I never tell people to go there though because I feel like they will take one look at the place in the parking lot and turn around. But it is delicious.

Sure. If you know someone who can get every police department in the nation to give you that information and make sure it is accurately reported.
Edit to add: it's not just per the Washington post. It's per the Justice department.

Stats are always interesting because there's a stat for seemingly everything and with the right statistical test, a statistician could make a weak argument look strong.
Now I'm not saying that that stat is weak or false but I do wonder if that is just raw data or if it's actually been adjusted and controlled for more specific measures (age, socioeconomic status, location, education, etc) that may give a more vibrant / in depth analysis.
Personally, I'm not surprised by the stat. I do think the media plays up some of the police violence on minorities, but they are also reporting cops and their poor administration of law and order. Cops actions are contributing to the headline news and are giving them stories.
I don't know where those stats come from, but the there is no way for them to keep nationwide data on people killed by police at this time. Obviously, they are some kind of estimate, hence the unknown category. They have tried to keep stats on this and have found it impossible. Take any stats (from any side of the devate) you see on this with a grain of salt.

Dont know very much about these. I am looking for one that is reasonably priced but reliable. Anyone have any experience with these?
It will probably be used quite a bit right before hunting season and in the spring and kind of sparing the rest of the year.

re: Ukraine Revolution live stream (Posted on 1/31/14 at 8:05 am to tigerpimpbot) Bulatov’s kidnappers crucified him, cut off a piece of his ear and spoke with a Russian accent One of the leaders of Automaidan Dmytro Bulatov, who disappeared for a lengthy period, was found on the evening of Thursday, January 30, in the village of Vyshenky, Boryspil District, outside of Kyiv. As described by Bulatov himself, unknown persons were beating and torturing him, had cut off his ear, and even crucified him – he has puncture wounds on his hands, reports TSN correspondent Olga Koshelenko. Automaidan leader does not know who kidnapped him, but noted that the men were speaking with a Russian accent. Following lengthy tortures, he was driven away and thrown out from a car. The brutally beaten man was walking through the village and knocking on every door, until one of the local residents finally let him in. From there, Bulatov called his friends, who have already transported him to Kyiv.
Just heard on the news that police were on their way to arrest him for inciting a riot. So, looks like they had someone kidnap, beat and torture him and are now going to put him in jail.

Any more updates on anything?
Besides the president taking a sick leave, the barricade of the policemen is now gone. They are still there however. Pretty much just a situation that could explode at any moment.
Heard that the president taking a leave for being sick is a common tactic used in similar style of governments in order to distance themselves from orders that were about to be given.
I felt this was some interesting news that came out tonight. Shows what kind of government the people are dealing with. For those who aren't following closely, Automaiden is a group that uses vehicle convoys drive around and near government officials house to protest what is going on.
