Every fan base on this board defends their current players and coaches. I'm not sure how LSU fans are any different in this regard.

yep, the token ole miss fan ITT, as usual, says LSU blindly supports their players/coaches and throws hyperbolic BS out to make his point, while at the same time saying Freeze is a better coach than Sumlin with nothing to support that opinion. His post almost sounded as if he thinks the only coach better than Freeze in the conference is Saban (and Spurrier if he were younger). el oh el

I agree with you in the sense that south LA people are...a different "type" and that Miles fits that mold. He's no cajun, but he's a character.

I like Miles but if he were to retire I’d first offer the job to Cam Cameron

I'd be on board with that

Would have been awesome to see what Spurrier would have done with Louisiana talent, scary!

We're besties. You know the term hoes in different area codes?

Well, you're like my bro in the LSU area code...and I'm loyal to my one bro in their area code

But the poster who i responded to said he fit Louisiana "culture". Thats why my response was to him. And its not the first time Ive seen that posted.

As far as the attributes you listed about Miles, those would work at most places if he had the record he does at LSU, which is the real reason he is a good fit. Not this bullshite about culture ot jrs agreat guy, or family man nonsense.

Miles has stated that he loves the festive attitude of Louisiana. He also doesn't take himself too seriously either. I like that

I'm actually in the Vandy area code, which is a lot cooler than the Baton Rouge area code.

Also, I give OM a lot of hell on here, but 2 of my close colleagues are OM alum and one of my fraternity brothers finished grad school there. I love Oxford.

No. Why? Because Freeze is a much better coach than Sumlin. I'll defend that all day. Is Spurrier a better coach than Freeze? LOL, yeah, but Spurrier is about to retire, so I wouldn't trade Freeze for Spurrier, because who fricking knows who we would be left with two years from now if we traded for Spurrier.

I'd only trade Freeze for Saban. Malzahn and Freeze are very similar coaches...I just like Freeze's recruiting better.

but its crazy for LSU fans not to want to trade Miles atleast thats what you were insinuating

What was stated about his quirky personality being a good fit for South LA folks makes sense to me.

Yeah, I wish I could hate ole miss as much as they hate LSU

Even when the matchup is good, it's just fun instead of animosity. I laugh every time a fan from either side predicts a blowout from either team. It's like they have never watched an LSU-Ole Miss game.

And yeah, Oxford and the campus are great

No to Saban - short man complex, wears out his welcome and too old now.

Sumlin - has never won anything

Spurrier - 15 years younger

Gus - flash in a pan

Freeze - joke

The rest of the SEC coaches - no

I would only consider - Kelly, Franklin or Pettersen...

But I have no issue staying with Miles as long as Cam and Chief are with him. He is a good man and a good CEO.

No, Jimbo and Urban (no matter how much of a bitch he is) are probably the only two in the whole country I would trade for now.
