Only Bama controls its destiny. Simple as that. But for Ole Miss to have any chance at the West, they need LSU to win in Tuscaloosa. An LSU loss pretty much guarantees Alabama playing in Atlanta.

Right now the only teams that control their own destiny are Alabama in the west and UGA/Mizzou/UF in the east.

If UGA wins the next two games (UF and Mizzou), they could have the east locked up on November 4th (will be true if UT loses to UK, if not UGA would need one more SEC win or a UT loss the following week).

Bama could lock up the West on 11/4 with a win over LSU as well if OM loses to either Vandy or A&M. If not they can lock it up with a win over UK or a UGA win over OM on 11/11.

The next two weeks will largely sort out the SEC.

LSU wins out - Alabama loses to LSU but wins the rest - Ole Miss wins out (3 way tie - Could be any of the 3 depending on multiple factors)

If you look at the games it looks like LSU would win the West based on that scenario BUT LSU beating Bama is a tall task for a team with a bad defense and Ole Miss is gonna get skull drug by UGA so I don't think this scenario is even realistic.

Lol. OM wished they control their own destiny. Even if you win out and we end up in a 3 way tie you need to hope Vandy pulls off atleast one SEC win or your screwed. Good luck.

Lol. Georgia had the East sown up the second they somehow cowered out of playing Oklahoma and replaced them with Ball State. Who were y'all ever gonna lose to? Vandy? UAB?

The West however is a gauntlet - as usual.

First of all, you do realize OOC games have no impact on winning a SEC division, right?

Second of all, the SEC cancelled our scheduled series with OU (and a later series with Texas). I would say you probably knew that, but given you don't seem to understand what is involved in winning the SEC East or West, I'm not certain you do know.

This will happen. Ole Miss always shits in the bed when the chips are down at the end.

If it comes down to the scenario #1 I wouldn't be surprised at all if Saban threw the Auburn game just so LSU wouldn't win the west

Nope. Not if it's a 3-way tie.

So sad it happened to you guys when Bama was still able to play Texas. But who cares about optics. You guys are winning the East. Again. Huuuuge shocker.

I forgot where Oklahoma and Ball State currently sit in the SEC standings

And neither the Texas game for Bama nor the Ball State game for UGA has any impact on winning their respective divisions.

All it does is theoretically (assuming you think OU would beat UGA) take away the one loss any P5 conference team is allowed in order to have a shot to make the playoff (since 2-loss teams have never gotten in).

If it’s a three way tie, ole miss will finish 3rd thanks to Vanderbilit.

It would come down to LSU and Alabama and how Mizzou/Florida finish vs Tenn/UK

Right now, LSU holds a slight edge

With the amount of threads started by Ole Miss fans it seems they own all the real estate in y'alls head.

Well there is no way you will beat UGA so I guess we don’t have to worry about it
