Historically, LSU has had problems defending the read-option offenses especially with talented dual-threat QBs.

Arky is tailor made for a bum rush from Drake and the boys.. Mallet will panic, INTs will be thrown. Petrino's club hasnt seen lockdown defending like this yet and its going to get ugly.

Arky -- You're going down!!

Bp and mallett have gotten used to teams bringing the house when rm drops back to pass. Bp knows they can't stop it so he's developed game plans to offset this a few times this year. Rm has gained the ability to keep defenses honest this year. He couldn't do that last year. Quick slants and passes to the te/fullback have killed teams all year. You can't just bring everything to keep mallett off his game anymore. This offense is better than you think.

We wont bring it every play. We apply pressure via defensive linemen as well as blitzing.

Damn I almost forgot about that.

LSU's defense is definitely not invincible, that's been thoroughly proven. Petrino is just the kind of offensive mind that can exploit it.

17.3 ppg against ranked opponents. I'll take that any day of the week.

141 yards pass D against ranked opponents too

Yeah, and Arkansas loses when they go up against someone with both a great defense and a running game.

Either way I'm excited. Lsu talks like they have one of, if not the best defense in the NCAA (I don't doubt it) and I know Arkansas has one of, if not the best offense in the NCAA.
