heard Peter Burns on the radio say that Woodward’s first call, and second call, should be to Brian Kelly
IMO that would be a great hire for LSU

I'm not sure he has much incentive to leave and he's a bit old as a potential long term hire. But I guess if he could give you 5 years and a championship window, you'd take it.

I mean if we're picking serious first calls, shouldn't it just be Saban and an almost 100% turn down? I mean it never hurts to ask

Peter Burns is just a tv guy with no real sources; an LSU alum but not by any means in the loop.

Woodward does not make a move unless he has already hired the replacement. It's already in the bag, whomever is the new HC at LSU.

At this point, age is too much of a factor.
Saban probably only has a good 15 to 20 years of coaching left.

BS. He made the move because LSU beat UF. IF LSU went on some run to end the season, it would be hard to justify getting rid of O. He cut ties before that could happen.
