LSU baseball has changed
I’ll tell you one thing that hasn’t ever changed - opposing fanbases becoming experts on the Tigers lineup in June.
Bregman - New Mexico
Gausman - Colorado
LeMahieu - Michigan
Aaron Hill - California
Alex Lange - Missouri
Etc etc
It’s always been this way.

Let’s just take the 2000 national title team starting lineup and pitching rotation
Jeremy Witten - Kentucky
Brad Cresse - California
Ray Wright - Maryland
Cedrick Harris - Arkansas
Brad Hawpe - Texas
Ryan Jorgensen - Texas
Trey Hodges - Texas
Brian Tallet - Oklahoma
Or 1997:
Mike Koerner - New Jersey
Doug Thompson - Mississippi
Danny Higgins - Texas
Brandon Larson - Texas
Wes Davis - Texas
Brad Cresse - California
Eddy Furniss - Texas
Tom Bernhardt - Florida
And this was back when all sports were much more regional and recruiting nationally much more difficult

Look at how emotional lsu fans get over even something as trivial this...

They are a little less LA player heavy. I think everyone is though. NIL and the portal has changed baseball just like it has football. You used to have to rely on in state players more due to lack of scholarships. NIL has minimized that.

Prove it. Post where they’re from on here. The kid who got the walk and the kid who got the game winning hit essentially, are both from Cali.

Agree. It just seems to be more and more. I guess it’s baseball. It wasn’t a troll, and yes I know the starter last night was from Louisiana but it seems to be more Cali kids and other states not in the south. 7 of the 9 batters were not from Louisiana. It just seemed different

What the hell are you talking about? Who cares where the players are from. Baseball is not like football where you can lock down the state. Baseball is different. Roster sizes matter. Some of LSU best players were from out of state. Crews is from Florida, Skenes is from California. Bregman is from New Mexico. LSU is a national brand. Players from all over take their names out of MLB draft to play for LSU. A lot of Louisiana players stay and play for LSU too.
Not every school is going to be fully rostered only by in state players.

Well, I went to school at Bama, and live on the beach on Siesta Key. I don’t live in a swamp with no jobs, terrible education and the worst healthcare in the US

Frey doesn’t lead the team in any statistic. Jones, or the kid from Cali who hit in the winning run last night might be. Or the lead off from California.

Prior to the supers, Frey led the team in BA and was 2nd in the team in RBI and HRs. He’s had a bad couple of weeks (3 for his last 23)
Dalton Beck has 10 ABs this year, and no he isn’t hitting .375. That would be statistically impossible with the number of ABs he has

Dang... you're really upset that LSU is about to win another championship. I'm sorry putting a winning team together with the best players available has hurt you so much. Prayers sent.

We are sorry that our team is somewhat of a disappointment to you because the last names on the jersey aren’t all Louisiana players. Newsflash …. LSU has been a bigger brand for years that attracts players from all over the country. Hope this helps you to understand that this isn’t 1986 .

Are you just making up stats? Beck is hitting .300, 3 for 10 on the season.

Now you have changed the fact that a player from the state has to lead a category? Changing the goal post now huh.
Why do you care about this? You want to know how to get players to come to Alabama or something?
