Another reason I think playing Thursday through Sunday makes more sense. It adds a little flexibility in the event of bad weather.

Another thought, getting swept in a 4 game series is also going to be brutal on a team’s moral. Damn I hope that doesn’t happen to us

Then you have to wait 5 days until you can shake it off and try again

Mans that’s a lot of baseball in a four day stretch. 2 7 inning games in a Saturday is a lot. Not just pitching. That effects your catchers and all of your players that play a position that sees a lot of action.
