Back when both Tennessee and Alabama were good (and during the Fulmer era while Tennessee was good and Alabama sucked), the Third Saturday was a lot more heated.

This. It's just a different rivalry. The entire feel is different. When both teams are really good, there is nothing like that game, IMO.

Part of me is a little upset Fulmer didn't win the Bear Bryant award in 1998.

You asked for my top 3 teams. ND counts... I would trade 10 losses to LSU for a chance to drag those pansies around a football field.

Nebraska would also qualify for some of the old-timers.

Once upon a time, maybe Penn State as well, but pretty much everyone I know loves Penn State now.

That would have been fricking tragic.

I remember hearing an Urban Legend in the heyday of all of that centered around him impregnating a sorority girl. The third time I'd heard it, it was exaggerated to include Krispy Kremes being eaten off of her boobs. NOT kidding...

It's more that. From the time General Neyland arrived in Knoxville, UT and Bama were easily the premier teams in the Southeast from the mid 20's to the early 50's.

Hey now. Remember, football didn't start until Florida and LSU fans say it did.

Alabama and Tennessee have no history, because it was too long ago.

Okay bammers, you've made your point, but I think you can agree that LSU and the majority of the general public/media considers LSU/Bama are rivalry now. Especially ESPN.

Who the frick cares what they think? And stop using "bammer" Only our rivals get to use that unimaginative, unoriginal tripe.

Wow. But how did Krispy Kreme come into play?

I still loathe TN, thanks to my parents.

Well... I think it was a fairly rampant rumor, but as more and more people talked about it, the Krispy Kreme joke was also in full gear, so someone thought it made a better story to mix the two. Apparently, the sorority girl got an abortion, so we'll never be able to know what really happened...

My Auburn fans say they don't like Tennessee in general, but not nearly as much as they generally hate LSU.

What do most Auburn fans think about Georgia? The Georgia people I know hate Auburn, but my Auburn friends don't really hate Georgia as much.

Remember when you asked me what my ultimate fantasy lovemaking experience would be like and I said I'd have to think about it? Done thinking.

I guess he is mad the state of Alabama has three NC's in 3 years and Saban and Chizik did what Miles could not. Go undefeated and win the title.

Are you saying...

Chilld. Are you saying that Chiznik is a better coach than Les?

I think I'm weird bc I was raised a Bama fan. I hate TN, and LSU doesn't bother me.

Yeah, I don't hate Georgia. They're a minor annoyance to me.

Because practically every Fulmer joke from about 1997 to 2006 involved Krispy Kreme.

God, I need to figure out a way to sway you back over to the dark side.

Hypnotism, special incense, voodoo magic. SOMEthing. You're too cool to be a boog.
