Auburn and Tennessee are considered rivals by every alabama fan. Just go ask a bama fan, and they will willingly tell you who our rivals are.

Don't know what their explanation is, but I can tell you mine. Bammers delusionally think they are unique and have no rivals, not even peers. So to admit LSU is a rival in their tight little minds would be to admit what they would perceive as a sign of weakness. I doubt if they'd publicly call even in-state Auburn a rival. But I know they sweat games with LSU, Auburn, Arky probably, when Tennessee gets better them, and in Gator up years Florida. If not, they should.
Yearly passionate games are VERY different from historic rivalries. It's Auburn and Tennessee. Period.

By his rational, I guess we are rivals with Michigan, cause I'm a little nervous about the season opener in Dallas.

I look at LSU as our second biggest rival. This is just my opinion.

If people are going to be know it alls, they need to know what they are know it alling about.

I hate to say it, but I honestly don't have much confidence in the Tennessee/Alabama rivalry long term.
How do current Bama students/teenage Bama fans view Tennessee? One of my friends goes to Bama, and he sees Tennessee on a similar level as Florida and LSU and nowhere near Auburn. And this is a kid whose parents attended Bama when the Bear was coaching.

Yes, but you can't reason with Rantards.

Will you in 10 years if LSU hasn't been good for 5, or has the Nick Saban thing made it a rival?
What if Tennessee comes back and does well in 2 years?

I graduated from UA in 2010. I consider UT my #1 rival.

I think students are very much slaves to immediate circumstances. I guarantee you that 10 years ago, Tennessee students didn't think much of Alabama. That said, they know they are a huge rival, but look more forward to the LSU game.

Eh......the UT/AL rivalry winners usually goes in long streaks. But if we lose cross divisional games I could see it fading away. Believe me, I still have a lot of hate from the fulmer years to last me quite a while.

Good to hear. If you had to guess, what percentage of students would you say considered UT a bigger rival than Auburn?
