The game now seems unimportant.

My bet is on the former.
I wouldn't want to win that way anyhow.

Not sure when Vegas odds come out, but just looking at how this is set up, give LSU -3.5 at home, plus when reviewing points scored vs. Points allowed in SEC games. Arkansas has scored 10 more points than LSU (1.43 ppg), but LSU has held opponents to 50 total points while Arky has allowed 153, a point differential of 14.7 ppg.
14.7 - 1.43 + 3.5 = 16.77 difference on average.
But Vegas will likely open at LSU -8.5, which I will jump on because I see it:
Tigers 31 - 17

I don't necessarily agree with your conclusion, but it sure is nice to see that someone put some work into the answer.
I, however, am a homer, and can't show logically why I think Arky will win this one 28 - 27. I just gotta believe...

STATS STATS STATS
After looking at the stat line, I figured LSU is not the LSU of old that would normally struggle with Arkansas. I think too much worrying is attributed to old LSU teams and not giving enough credit for the collective body of work through this 11-0 season thus far.
Tackles for loss allowed: LSU #10 Arky #30
Time of Poss.: LSU #16 Arky unranked
Net punting: LSU #6 Arky #26
Sacks allowed: LSU #13 Arky unranked
Interceptions thrown: LSU #1 Arky #16 granted LSU only has 3 to Arky's 6
Red Zone offense: LSU #2 Arky Tied at #29
Scoring offense: LSU #14 Arky #13
Sacks: LSU #25 Arky unranked
Turnover margin: LSU #1 Arky unranked
Tackles for loss: LSU #17 Arky unranked
Pass efficiency defense: LSU #2 Arky #17
Scoring defense: LSU #2 Arky #30
Stats that matter: disclaimer, any unranking is outside of the top 50 These are stats for the NCAA, not just the SEC
Hope you enjoy the facts as they stand right now, LSU is looking much better after reviewing where they stand after 11 unblemished and undefeated games.
