Alleva is so bad! We all hate him.
He’s a complete twirp with zero leadership skills. None of his peers respect him.
He must interview like a boss because he sucks at everything else.

Yeah, it's old news, but there's never been a good spin on it.
It's such an odd pairing, Alleva and Orgeron. Ed O is almost stereotype 'dumb jock', which would make him an easy fallguy for the next scandal to hit LSU. And you know Alleva already has the inclination to hang his people out to dry.
I don't think Miles ever respected Alleva, which probably contributed to his demise. Les didn't have anyone in his camp, and when things went south he got taken out like Ned Stark.

That may be true, and while most if not all LSU fans were aware, I bet most of the rest of the posters here weren't aware or didn't remember. Most people remember the DA who targeted the players lost his job, was disbarred, and jailed, but probably not that Alleva was the AD. Unlike Nifong, Alleva didn't really become a household name.

The DA in Durham County should shoulder much of the blame in all of this if anyone watched the 30 for 30 on the Duke lacrosse team. He manufactured evidence and ignored what should have resulted in a dismissal before the players were ever indicted. It led to his disbarment and criminal charges once the dust settled. It's hard to really fault Joe Alleva given those circumstances and how everything was being portrayed in the media and in the District Attorneys Office. However, with that said, Joe Alleva has done a multitude of other things throughout his tenure at LSU to show what a boob he is. LSU fans have never cared for him.
