I'm sure players on every team in America are chiefing... anyone who disagrees with this needs to take their blinders off

The difference in this case is that some sleeze in the LSU house leaked this info to the press. Internal matters such as this rarely come to light, i.e. the Ryan Baker suspension a few weeks ago for the infamous violation of team rules.

this team has been lucky in that regard because it hasnt really faced much adversity. imo, there wont be a controversy as long as they keep winning and Lee isnt turning the ball over.

i really wish i could find the clip on youtube or wherever of saban's press conference after damien james just "didnt show up for practice". everyone knows it was because he failed his umpteeth drug test.

that was a classic saban rant.

Am I correct in interpreting LSU's drug policy that this would have to be a third failed test violation in order to result in suspension? If so, the level of immaturity associated with these decisions is alarmingly arrogant.

2nd i believe. if you believe the link someone posted yesterday i think like 10 of the 12 sec schools have no punishment for the first offense.

The third failed test is a year suspension.

Lee hasn't really turned the ball over since his freshman season. It's unfortunate that stigma still exists, he's one of the better QBs in the SEC right now.

He has two picks in a year and half of football. Some people are just really lazy with their comments.

I like the fact that 3 key players for LSU are not capable of understanding what they have to lose by doing this during the season. It shows their lack of focus and understanding of the big picture. I am not nieve enough to think that BAMA doesnt have players smoking but I am more confident that they "get it" and are not going to mess up what is potentially an epic year by getting caught. At least not our best player on offense and defense.
