First off, here's the stat I find the most interesting .

LSU pressure rate is 4th in the country. They get after the QB. Arkansas is 129th in pressures allowed. So that's pretty fricked up.

Arkansas ranks 68th in pass yards allowed despite having faced no real competition at QB.

Meanwhile LSUs passing offense ranks 6th in the country, and Nuss is also 6th in passing yards. Another fricked stat. This is by far the best offense Arky will have faced.

It's not all sunshine for LSU though. They rank 99th in rushing offense. That's abysmal. The team lives or dies by Nuss right now. It also hasn't mattered because ..

LSU has the best pass protection in the country. Nuss has a pristine white jersey 88% of the time.

Here's where Arkansas can beat LSU.

Arky has a 24 ranking in passing offense. This is damn good against and LSU secondary that ranks 100th in the country. Almost dead last in the SEC. This is somewhat mitigated by the defensive line but there are plays to be made against it. It's worrisome.

This one has potential. Petrino will exploit the secondary.

Using these statistics alone you can reasonably set the point total to around 65.

Petrino WILL exploit LSUs secondary. LSU will disrupt the passing game a lot, especially if the Arky QB isnt as mobile as he can be.

I expect a good game.

I thought the Arkansas defensive numbers would be better.

IIRC, LSU actually gives up less points per game.

Arkansas defense is "sneaky" good.

Based on those numbers, Arkansas is screwed.

The good news is there's a reason they play the game on the field.

Are you really such a good offense though?

You about like us in reverse until proven otherwise. Good at throwing the ball no real production at running it.

Good offenses are not one dimensional and I'm personally taking Petrino against BK all day every day scheme and coaching wise.

Plus it's in Fayetteville. I'm taking Arkansas this game but wouldn't be surprised if you win as well. Tough game to predict.

I don't see this tbh.

LSUs secondary has been bad enough to exploit heavily and nobody has really done it big yet.

The difference between this year and last year is that the D line has been elite.

At this point I just want LSU to split the A&M and Arkansas games to stay in the playoff race.

It would be crazy to expect a sweep, and while it’s possible I think anyone setting that expectation is destined for disappointment. LSU SHOULD beat Arkansas but that’s been said many times where LSU had the upper hand and lost.

If Nuss grows from last week and Daniels is 100% I like LSU’s chances though.

Tennessee averages 4.1 YPC, LSU averages 3.9

Short answer, yes. Despite the lack of run game , LSU is the 31st best scoring offense in the nation.

This is against the #4 scoring defense in the country and the 38th. Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Good analysis and reasonable. Nice.

Also, no idea why a few mouth breathers would give you a thumbs down for a post like this. This site could be much better with more quality posts.

Ole Miss had literally played nobody before LSU. I wouldn't look at their defensive ranking. I do believe the SC defense is solid.

South Carolina is much better than their record. And that's just Ole Miss for ya. Stupid hype and then Baton Rouge .

If you follow Arkansas recruiting, and something I mentioned of their team prior to playing them is, Arkansas has speed at the skill positions. Sam has quietly gone after burners. So you got a fast QB, fast WRs, fast secondary. If you can pressure the QB, they struggle. If not, they can move that ball.

This 4-game stretch (OM, @Arkansas, @A&M, Bama) is absolutely brutal.

Arkansas has potential to blossom into something really good with Petrino back.

They are only a few plays away from being 6-0 right now.

Yep. These next two games are crucial. I like having Bama at TS. It will be on fire hotter than the sun. Especially if LSU manages to get through these next two unbeaten.

I think you will actually beat Bama but drop the Arky and A&M games

Gonna laugh in your face when Arkansas puts a beat down on LSU. Your analysis is SO far off.

Of course we want LSU to win so we really embarrass you at Kyle field. So I hope I am wrong and your take is better than it looks.

Good luck. Kelly needs it.

Yeah everyone will get their laughs in but I almost feel best about the Alabama game among those three remaining in the next month.
