I see what you're saying here, but here's reality; The majority of the cfb world doesn't care too much about the good ol days; about 5 or so years ago in CFB years. Heck, 25 years ago is practically the Jurassic period. They remember championships, like LSU's in 2019, just like UGA fans remember aaaaall the way back to 1980 and Walker running over people. But those are just nostalgic, fleeting memories these days.Cfb is a sport of 'What have you done for me lately' when it comes to the majority of fanbases and you know I'm right. That's why ol Ed could win a NC and get fired 2 seasons later.
So, I'll word it another way for ya; In our current decade, 2020 onward, Bama and UGA have ruled the SEC and a very few other teams throughout the nation have been considered elite. LSU isn't among them. You can hold on to past records and championships and stuff if you want, but in reality, that's NOT whats on the mind of the majority of your fanbase, or ANY fanbase for that matter.
