They haven't in basketball.
The trophy is already gone too.

That Matt Jones schmuck from Kentucky Sports Radio seems downright giddy on Finebaum. Sheesh!

I'm extremely disappointed no one has commended OP on the "stripped" pun

The NCAA has not said whether they will remove Pitino’s back tattoo

So does the NCAA take possession of the banner and trophy and destroy it? Is Michigan now acknowledged as the champion in 2013? Will anyone outside of Louisville still acknowledge them as champs that year?

He’s a Kentucky fan. Of course he’s thrilled the NCAA dropped a bomb on Louisville.

You need to see what Louisville was charged with before you open your mouth. If you can read, you would see that Person was charged with taking money from a Financial Adviser to stir a player to them after they declared for the draft early. What was happening was Person was screwing AU to line his own pocket.

The question I've always had was did Chuck use the possibility of receiving extra benefits through the Financial Adviser as a way to lure the players to Auburn during their recruitment?

His scheme wouldn't have worked if he couldn't get the NBA potential players to sign with Auburn on the front end.

Based on what has been leaked about Chuck's personal finances I suspect you are over thinking it...my guess is he saw an opportunity for himself and took it. I am not naive to believe Auburn suddenly started signing better players just cause Bruce was given the job, but Bruce certainly is a name kids trust and when everybody is offering something you end up signing with a coach as well. Bruce offers that for Auburn. Currently Auburn isn't accused of any recruiting related violations. That's important. Wiley already has been reinstated next season. That is also important.

On another note Wiley coming to Auburn once we hired a decent basketball coach wasn't a crazy notion either.

Both Wiley's parents played basketball at Auburn (with his Mom being one of the top two greatest female players in Auburn history). As long as we had a half decent coach, it would have been more of a crazy notion for him to not sign with Auburn.

Last year was the first year that AU had a player who was even considered a Pro prospect. So I do not think that Chuck or this Financial Adviser could have planned to recruit players by this tactic. I think the Adviser knew Chuck from his NBA days and approached him when it looked like the AU players were going to be "one and done". When that didn't work out due to their draft rating, it threw a wretch in the plan to push them out the door. That is what I have heard from people close to the program.

How much are Kentucky fans celebrating now?

I'm not celebrating. This is a huge black eye in an endless list of black eyes Jurich and Pitino have brought upon the state. It's way more sad than something to celebrate.
