Welp, that game made Louisville somewhat relevant.
In about 3 weeks, Alabama's gonna return them to irrelevantcy

In honesty it was sort of a mistmacth.

Alabama had no business being in a bigger bowl with Louisville that year. No excuse for getting blown out. Easily the worst complete team effort I've seen from a Bama team in my entire lifetime.

The one time Alabama's brand name def. helps out is when we are a marginal bowl team, since we have a good traveling fan base and a name brand often times bowls want us.

The Cardinals QB was Browning Nagle. I enjoyed the shite out of that game.

That was my freshman year. Most of that season sucked.

Not really. Bama lost their first 3 games but went 7-1 the rest of the regular season and snapped a 4 year losing streak to Auburn.

Also, after getting skulldrug by Louisville, Bama lost 1game over the next 2 seasons so it worked out pretty well overall.

Louisville shouldn't have been there either. All the teams ahead of them though declined an invite because of the MLK thing.
