Was going over the Athlon preseason magazine and noticed an interesting little game for LSU. September 22 vs Louisiana Tech. Here's what's interesting about it. Tech has a BYE week before LSU while LSU is playing @ Auburn. And here's the other really interesting aspect of that game TECH returns a 3,000 yard passer and has 10 Sr/Jr starters on defense and 9 starters on offense that will be Sr/Jr. thats 19 of the 22 starters for LA Tech next year will JRs or SRs. Just think it's kind of an interesting game considering Troy last year.

LSU should win but if it's an 11 am kick and LSU is still licking their wounds from Auburn game it could be close late

This could be their Troy this year. You never know what to expect from O.

This will never happen for a non-conference LA school unless it's Tulane in the Super Dome.

We will play it between 6 pm and 8pm and wear purple.

Maybe, maybe not. It is probably going to be another barn burner. Pun intended.

No doubt that AU-LSU will be a physical game but you're assuming a great deal.
The OP mentioned the Tech Qb but he had a whopping 55% completion rate and they lost their top rushers.
War Eagles should focus on their own season rather than worrying about LSU. After all the Plainsmen are 3-7 in their last 10 games with LSU.

In both the Troy and Miss. St. games LSU lost the line of scrimmage due to injuries and lack of depth along both the OL and DL.

This year the OL has been rebuilt with JC and recruits, and the DL with transfers and recruits.

I expect the OL will be pretty good once our starting tackles are healthy again. The DL...the whole front seven in fact...will be one of the best in the country.

Unlike in the Miles era LSU no longer uses converted guards at tackle. and our new OL coach James Cregg is one of the best there is, college or pro.

It all starts with the LOS, and this year, LSU is gonna be much better than last year there.

That LSU bowl game was a good indication for you. Look at you talking you didn’t even get into the end zone with your greatest college player in school history. Best player in amateur football IMHO and no touchdowns.

We played both of them last year and Tech put up the better fight, so who knows?

Yet no one wants to hear this. This is no excuse, just the facts! Our OL and DL was depleted against both State and Troy!

Sounds like a good bet for an Auburn fan to make, bet the house! Legalized sports wagering will be here by the college football season.

La. Tech was a pretty darn solid squad for a few years and capable of pulling off an upset against just about anyone. That having been said they took a step back last season and lost some key players from that squad going into this year.

Unless LSU comes into the game sleepwalking like they did against Troy it should be a comfortable win for them.
