I was at the ND game, and will say that the entire game was exceptionally loud. The Swoopes TD chief among them.

I would add the LSU game, in 2019 when players repeatedly were cramping…sometimes anger noise levels are superior to excitement noise levels. I’m sure most fanbases have experienced this effect.

NOTE: Even though it can get pretty rowdy, I’m not sure DKR is built in a manner which encourages the highest volume like some stadiums. I’ve been to multiple other stadiums capable of higher levels, Kyle Field and the Superdome come to mind.

Like someone earlier in the thread said, the back-to-back Javon Bullard sacks that I believe sandwiched a false start against Tennessee in 2022.

Crowd was juiced from opening kick and by that point in the game the rain was coming down hard and the fans just did not care. Those sacks I remember people were going nuts to the point I saw cups and various items being tossed like graduation caps with water flying off them.

I’ll also throw a nod to a UGA one that hasn’t been mentioned in this thread yet, but for loudness of reaction to a single play, the crowd’s roar after Rennie Curran’s 4th down tip to save the game against South Carolina in 2009 was pretty loud.

I know a lot of people won't believe this, but our game in 2021 against Arkansas got stupid loud for some reason? Especially, the blocked punt in the endzone. Anyone that went, can you confirm?

Wasn’t at that one, but watched on TV. Definitely seemed to be rocking for the whole first quarter to the point that Fowler and Herbstreit were talking about it the whole broadcast.

Corrrect answer and not even close. College Gameday was there that day (may still be the record for largest crowd). Nighttime kickoff so crowd had plenty of tailgate time before the game. This play was an opening kickoff touchdown return and the stadium shook. Was loud for the first win over Nebraska in many years but no single play in that game was as loud, even the fake field goal for a TD.

that entire sequence was incredible. We had been in control the entire day and we'd just entered the 4th quarter and rain started to come down pretty good. instead of dampen the crowd it was like the entire stadium took it as a personal challenge to tell the rain to frick off and got even louder. Tennessee was utterly and thoroughly overmatched. Here is that sequence following a pentalty giving UT the ball at our 20:

1st and 10: run for 3 yards
2nd and 7: sacked for 5 yard loss to the 22
3rd and 12: false start
3rd and 17: sacked for a loss of 6 to the 33
4th and 23: false start
4th and 28: sack for 3 yard loss, but saved by a 15 yard facemask penalty
1st and 10 at 23: 4 yard run
2nd and 6: incomplete
3rd and 6: sacked for 4 yard loss
4th and 10: incomplete

This was the supposed "#1 team" in the rankings with the nation's top offense that had previously put up 40 on LSU and 52 on bama, and they looked like a peewee team on this possession. I love kirby

The entire South Carolina football program has been pretty quiet since this play

That was the end of Spurrier's cute little run, for sure. He refused to do a presser after. Hahaha, what a sore loser.

I’m sure others have registered higher decibels, but Ramonce Taylor’s game-tying TD to complete the 28-point comeback was the loudest I can remember being present for

The loudest I’ve personally experienced was 1995…

Phil Dawson hitting a last second 50 yard field goal into a 25 mph steady wind to beat Virginia. They were decent back then, Texas was mediocre, and absolutely no one in the stadium expected him to make that. You couldn’t keep your cap on it was so windy.

The games I attended that I remember where one play was just amazingly loud. And there were three.
1. Bert Jones boot leg into the endzone against Ole Miss.
2. I think it was Eugene Daniels but could have been somebody else who intercepted a deep pass by USC back in 79.
3. TD with a few seconds left to beat Auburn in 03.

Some of these might be wrong, I'm old.

Rocky Block was the loudest I have experienced BDS.

A couple others stand out to me. Jalen Hurts came in to the 2018 (I think) iron bowl as a backup and threw a TD on his first pass. They then rolled right into Dixieland Delight. May not be the loudest crowd pop, but the place was rocking through the whole song.

And then more recently, the fumble return for a TD against the Vols last year was pretty damn loud. Capped off a comeback after being down pretty big at half. Was the loudest I had heard BDS in 3-4 years for sure.

I was there, it was an incredible game. I was a high school student and it was my second game to ever watch in Tiger Stadium.

This was a pretty freaking loud moment too. I cussed Miles when Flynn dropped back to pass.

Ole Miss is probably a toss-up between the Travis Johnson pick-6 against LSU in 2003 or the Senquez Golson pick in the endzone to seal the win against Alabama 2014. The Golson loudness got to happen twice since there was a review so I guess I'd give it the edge.

Can confirm that the Vaught was rocking in 2014. Couldn’t get back to my car fast enough

Our team was shell shocked from the crowd noise.
