USC game at LSU in '79...incredibly loud, even more insane is how this level of noise was sustained for the entire game, and another 20-30 minutes after the game.

I can't, and I've been to most in recent memory. When LSU scored, you couldn't hear your own self scream. I've never heard anything that loud in my life. But I was in the middle of the student section at the time.
